I had my vertical sleeve done Dec 22nd in Vineland nj. Dr. Iqubal was my surgeon he is top notch. I traveled 2 hours to get to his office because I have Horizon NJ Health. It took 7 months of visits every 2 months before my surgery was approved. I am very happy and losing weight slowly but surely and feel better everyday. Great team of surgeons and office staff -
How much food can you eat with sleeve?

I haven't gone poop since my surgery. I had to take an enema to go and it was not pleasant. Good luck -

12/22 surgery no poop yet. I take stool softner, 4 Ducolax yesterday. Nothing is working. Was your bm normal after surgery? I thinking is smaller because of so much less food. Help? -

This surgery is a tool. What the mind thinks the body will follow. I tell myself this all the time. I had my surgery on Monday and know my weakness. I will be bringing my own goodies to holiday parties because I never will allow myself a pass because I've had surgery. It's been a long road but health is the reason for all of this for me -
I called it the same thing. People need to chill, it will be the last supper for awhile. Good luck to you my friend

Dec 22nd sleeved. I haven't vomited but sometimes the urge is so powerful, thank god for zofran. I am down 18 pounds with my 2 week pre op diet and surgery on Monday. Don't forget your chap stick or biotene moisturizing spray. So much needed surprised hospital doesn't supply it. Feeling as weak as a kitten but gets better everyday. -

2 days post op. Don't remember anything except going to the operating room. Woke up in my room the magic fairies got me there. I think the gas x strips and the biotene spray were critical for after surgery. My mouth was so dry. Ewww. I feel pretty excellent for just having had surgery on Monday. I had a wonderful team of nurses and doctors they made all the difference. Baby steps -

December 22 at 8am. Had my surgeon calling and calling to get my medical clearance from my primary care doctor. Up until the last minute. He was insisting I go to a cardiologist to get clearance. My surgeon kept asking why if my Cardio echo was done and everything was good. I will be so happy when I'm on the other side. It's been a long road. On a positive note I've lost 8 pounds on my pre surgery diet. -

I'm being sleeved December 22nd as well. I am on week 2 of restricted diet. If I think to much I scare myself with the what if? Then I push that out of my head with what if I don't? This gets me right back to where I need to be. Good luck and so thankful for this site. -

I have 2 weeks of 2 shakes a day and 1 meal. Healthy choice is the recommendation plus 3 cups of lettuce w/low calorie dressing or 1 small fruit or 1 60 calorie yogurt. 4 days 6 pounds down. Everyday gets better than the day before Thank God -
