I know that all insurances and doctors/hospitals are different, but.... Just found out that I have met my deductible on both my and my husbands health insurance. So, one pays at 80% and the other at 90%! Any guesses as to what my out of pocket could be? They have already told me no more than $2000 but that was before I met my deductibles.

I'm first on my doctors schedule tomorrow! 530 arrival time at the hospital! Beyond ready!!

I am 36...well 37 tomorrow. I've been on my journey since July 1 with surgery scheduled for Monday, Nov. 24. Besides being overweight I have no health problems. Blood pressure is normal, no diabetes, low cholesterol.....healthy. I've done everything right....quit soda the same day I went to the seminar at my surgeons office. No candy or sweets since then. No coffee. Lost more weight than required on the pre op diet plan. Last week, I had my pre op test....chest X-ray, EKG, and Upper GI. The surgeons office called yesterday to tell me that my EKG was abnormal. I know I have an irregular heart beat so I assume that was all it was. They told me I had to have clearance from my PCP. No biggie...went to her yesterday afternoon. She redid the EKG and would not clear me for surgery. She said it showed signs that I may have had a heart attack, but at the same time it could be nothing. I am beyond devastated and scared. She called in a favor and has me going to a cardiologist today for a stress test and Echo. I just hope the cardiologist can clear me. The surgeons office is leaving me on the schedule until I can jump through this hoop. I'm scared that this cardiologist isn't going to clear me. What if he isn't an advocate of WLS? Have any of you had this happen and cleared? Thanks in advance!

Thank you to everyone for your support. I went back to the cardiologist for the third time this morning. And he gave me my clearance. I am headed to the hospital for registration and surgery is on Monday talk about last minute. thanks again everyone

Thanks everyone! I went this morning. He said he is almost certain he will clear me but wants one more test at 745 in the morning. He will clear me while I'm there and then I go straight to hospital for registration! Talk about last minute hurdles!! But I'm jumping as fast as I can!!

I'm going this morning for the results. The tech that did my test yesterday was tight lipped and wouldn't let on to if it was normal.

I will update! Here now for test and I'll meet with the doctor tomorrow for results. I'm so thankful that my primary doctor is such a wonderful person! When I got here today they told me they were waiting and knew everything going on! My mom is with me and in complete awe because she doesn't use the same primary doctor I use. I think she is ready to switch to her!!

Thanks yall. I'm trying so hard not to freak out, but that's easier said than done. Appointment in 2 hours.

Has anyone ever tried the Celebrate protein powers? I'm ordering vitamins this morning so they will be in before my surgery date and their flavors look tempting, but expensive! I don't want to spend $50 on something that isn't worth it.

I am scheduled for surgery on Nov. 24. My surgeon doesn't require us to do a pre op liquid diet as long as we can lose some before surgery. I lost 9 pounds in 12 days by eating on the NUT Protein carb pairing diet...lost my way for a week, but back on it this week. The first 2 weeks didn't phase me.....I was able to maintain the diet and felt no side effects. This week, I am very fatigued by 2 or 3 pm and having severe headaches. I just figured the calories of what I'm eating and here's the breakdown: Breakfast: non fat Greek yogurt with a sugar free pudding cup and banana 260 calories Snack: non fat cottage cheese 80 calories Lunch: tuna with light mayo and triscuits 270 calories Snack: string cheese 50 calories Dinner: grilled chicken with light mayo on sandwich flat 215 calories What am I doing wrong?

I'm fortunate I guess! He says if your are losing weight you don't have to do the liquid diet. A coworker only lost 5 pounds and didn't have to do it!

I should have added that I haven't had sweets or soda since July 1 when I made the decision too have WLS. And I drink at least 4 bottles of water a day.
