I'm getting down on myself (before and after pics)
rebeccalee618 posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I have been really at a sort of stand still for a while. I am making a new standard for myself from now on. I didn't sign up for a quick fix! I signed up for a hard yet rewarding road and having your stomach cut from your body is no joke! So why am I treating it as such. Today I have been reflecting and I need to be proud of myself to continue to grow. 100 lbs ago I beat myself up and it didn't get me anywhere so why would that work now. So I am proud of my journey... And the journey has just begun. The road is long... One year feels long but it's no where near the end! No more feeling guilty! -

What to wear in hospital? What feels best?

The best thing I brought were slippers that I could walk in. You will be asked (and will want to) walk the halls after sugary to help with the gas pains. I hate tight socks on my ankles and sleeping in socks so my slippers came in soo handy! -
You just made my day

ALRIGHT ALL YOU LITTLE SKINNY MINNIES
rebeccalee618 replied to HYCIERRA's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I wouldn't classify myself as a skinny mini just yet but I love your post because it's the best feeling and the most intimidating moment all at once! I remember that day! I love Loft, American Eagle has great denim with stretch that also shapes my butt, and my most favorite discovery was buying panties at Victoria Secret!!! They are the best and SOO comfy! Was well worth the little splurge since no new clothes look good with saggy panties underneath! -
I did it without a second thought. I had the time off so I went and got fillings like a week after surgery. Probably should have asked but I survived it and never had a problem.

Ok the first pic was 5 months in My start weight was 288 and size 24 and I think at five months I was in a 16/18. I'm a very curvy build. Surgeon actually used the words big boned which I found funny because isn't that a great excuse. Second pic- right was at 8 months. I was in a size 14/16. Left was at 10 months at a 12/14. 3rd and 4th are just current different angles. I'm 5'5. I will be honest and tell you I did most of my losing with diet. I am exercising now. I am currently at my one year mark and 190-195 so almost (but not quite ????) 100 lbs down. We are all build differently so keep that in mind. Some ppl are built to be a size 4 and others a size 10. Good luck and I hope that this helps! Remember the first few months are the hardest but still the best choice I've ever made! It's time to live life!

Has anyone had issues with their mattress not being comfortable any more? I'm wondering if my heavier weight sorta made an impression on the mattress and my new body isn't molding well or something if that makes sense. Wondering if anyone can relate

I need to post this because not many ppl can really understand the excitement of this! I actually wondered if it would ever happen for me or if I was meant to always weigh over 200. This week has been so good for me hitting goals. On Sunday, I went to Old Navy and was able to put on a size 12 (curvy fit but still) pair of skinny jeans. I couldn't even shop at Old Navy before. I was a size 24/26. My highest weight was 288. And now today I am 199 (barely but it counts!!) I am so thrilled and thankful that I did this!

This app has changed since I last was on and I'm struggling with figuring it out. Had to create a whole new account and I want to do my profile but can't figure out how.
