Yes, my blood pressure is really low too... We need to exercise to get it up there. Before surgery, my blood pressure was high also. They took me off the meds. Congratulations!!! -

Lizzyloo, I feel you. I can't go to to my favorite dog beach. I park and walk 1 long stretch of sand and I have to take breaks. My young dig looks me and doesn't understand. I'm not going back until I lose weight and exercise. My RA is so bad I can't even get up and down on my towel. It was hard to play ball with my dog. I'm looking forward to many things in the future. Going to the beach is just 1 of them. -

For me, I used to look like Sophia Loren in my 20's. I was about 125. But, then emotionally over the years, a bad marriage and big weight gain. I was about 220 and I lost about 20 lbs. Being infatuated with a gorgeous man. Then the weight gain was 20 lbs. Reaching 240. I looked pregnant and all I want to do was sleep. I was addicted to cookies, jellybeans and carbs I hated my body. Also, my Blood pressure and Pre-Diabetic readings showed that I was headed for 300 lbs. So, I'm 218 lbs. Now. I can't wait to get below 200 lbs. I'm working out and eating Pureed foods at the moment. People would tell me "You're just voluptuous. You are not eligible because you aren't 400 lbs.". But, I was unhappy and I was eligible. I will lose about 70 lbs. And maybe a little more. It's been 3.5 weeks and I'm being good. I love how I feel. I have so much energy. I live in a mobile home with a tiny bathtub. I know how much I've gained by how I feel in this tub. So, even a smaller body is desired by me. My BMI was 46. , so I qualified. -

I'm sorry that you have had such a hard time. It's a vicious circle. You r depressed and then you eat and then you are more depressed. I like your post. -
Well, my name is Vickie and I had the Bariatric Sleeve on 9/8/14. Everything went well and 17 days later, I feel like a new person. The small meals are unbelievable, but everything is tasty. It's like I never tasted food before. I have lost 22 lbs. Or more. I love my doctor and her staff. I don't know what to expect, but I'm looking forward to my new goal weight of 170 lbs. if not more. <3.

TY Alfie. I thought of cancelling minutely and just sort of let the Universe guide. I just can't believe how good I'm doing. But, you suddenly realize you just had surgery 3.5 weeks ago and need to take it easy. I can honestly tell you that it's the best decision you ever made. My clothes used to be so tight. Now, they r comfortable and loose. Keep me posted as we have connected and I want to know how you're doing. Nice to meet you. The most important thing is that you eat enough Protein. Never ever thought about it before. You will be Enlightened by this experience.

You ate going to do great Becca R. You should look back. Don't be sad. Things are going to be great. I only need to lose a total of 70 and I've already lost 22 lbs. I'm new too. The members here are so nice and supportive. I saw the 300 lbs. Coming up and immediately scheduled the surgery. Things will change rapidly for you and you will love how you feel. I have RA and Osteoarthritis. That is partially why I had the operation. Also, for Blood Sugar and High Blood Pressure. It's all about Self-Love. Fat or Skinny , I love myself, but getting this surgery is True Love. Good Luck. -
Yay, Alfie. I'm so excited for you. It's much easier than I thought. But you have to take care of yourself, stay hydrated and eat 3 meals & snacks. Good Luck.

Officially lost 100lbs :)

You all sound so positive and supportive. I actually like the food but need to slow down. I have no patience eating these tiny meals, but it's working. I just looked in the mirror and my turkey neck (Double Chin)/is gone. I have 2 brand new nighties (for recuperating) that no longer fit. I had my operation on the 8th, so I'm in my 4th week. I'm walking both dogs and feel great, though I'm a bit weak. Good Luck to all of us!!! Yay!!! -
Wow!!! You are an excellent writer.

Why not say yes. What do you have to lose??? I was dating someone and I had my surgery and he disappeared. I was going to dump him anyway. Lol -
How do you upload a picture.

I have lost a total of 19 lbs. Or more. I'm averaging 1-2 lbs. Per day.

Hello Everyone!!! I just loss 2 lbs. And I feel great. Took a morning walk with each dog separately. I can't risk my stomach being pulled open by 2 dogs. I'm now walking 2X per day instead of just 1 time each day. So that's 4 walks. I just love it, the morning air and the evening breeze. I didn't even have the energy for 1 walk per day. The food portions are so small, but they r filling. You have to forget who you were before this weight loss surgery. Those big plates of food and drink will haunt you in the beginning, but a nice tiny bowel of Tuna fish with mayo and Smoked Turkey sliced so small, pureed green beans and delicious instant mashed potatoes is so good, though the portions are only as big as a small walnut each. I have yogurt, cottage cheese and sugar free popsicles and jello. The portion sizes are very small, but like I said filling. When I walk the dogs in my village, people love to barbecue. It smells so good and you know that someday, you'll be able to have a bite, when you are eating solid food. You need to eat small portions or you will vomit or worse, you will stretch your stomach eating the wrong food and portions and your surgery will have been for naught. I have 220 lbs. When I was 240 lbs. I had reached a plateau and I could not lose weight. But, with this operation and small portions & snacks, the weight just melt off. I am constantly drinking water and the generic Crystal Light which are so delightful. So if you r thinking of having The Gastric Sleeve, do it Do it for you. Leave the Haters in your dust. If I can do it, anyone can. Afterwords, I was in pain from my back, not the surgery. The surgery took about 1 hour, laying on a flat steel table. My Anklyosis Spondalytis can't lay flat. So, I had a Morphine Pump, which Was so addictive and I was hallucinated. By the 3rd day I was ready to go home to Liquid Vicodin. Overall, it was a great experience. It's been easy to rest and recuperate at home with no job and no worries. I am my best nurse and 19 days later, I feel great!!! No lifting or pulling/pushing. But, I need to vacuum so, soon I will try to incorporate light housework into my routine. I rest a lot in bed, but I don't sleep and I am busy with correspondence and magazines. 2 Dogs and a beautiful Smoky Gray cat keep me grounded and focused. Well, I'm hoping that at least 1 of you will be enlightened with this post. The Gastric Sleeve is an amazing operation and I should have done it sooner, but all good things are graced in Gods sweet time and not Sooner or Later. Love and hugs I send to you. God Bless Us Everyone.
