I’m officially 40 pounds down. I started at 260 pounds 8 months ago and today I am 220. I had to think back on the last time I was 220 pounds. I believe it has been 13 years since I have been this weight. I am looking forward to moving into the 2-teens and then, next stop, wonderland. This journey is by no means easy but for me, it’s been worth it. : )

I am tired of hiking up my pants every time I get up from my desk at work. It is so frustrating but wonderful at the same time. I HATE belts but have had to wear one just so I don't give my co-workers a shock while walking down the hall way! : ) Good for you. Congrats on your weight loss.

Hugging people tighter because my stomach is not in the way any more. : ) Crossing my legs in a meeting.

In 2011 - I was 260 Pounds - Here is a photo: I had Lap Band a little over 8 months ago and I am now at 219 (Happy to be in the two-teens!) Here is a photo that was taken yesterday. I'm happier and healthier now....but not done yet! : )

Those Cheeks! Those will slim down but never completely go away. : )

Good for you guys! Here are our two rescues. We've had Chaos for 9 years. She is a Shepherd/Lab Mix. We've had Memphis for just under a year. When we adopted her, she was tiny and we were told she was a lab mix. To our surprise she is a Pointer/Great Dane Mix. Can we pick 'em or what? We love them both! : )

Before my journey started I wore size 24 pants, sometimes I could get in a 22 but they were a snug fit. Seven months later, today, I am in between a size 18 and 16. The 18’s are a little big and the 16’s won’t button yet. I will get into those 16’s soon. I went on a 3 mile walk this morning and thought about those dang 16’s that I will be in within weeks. A size 16 is my goal for the end of October. I think I can…I think I can. : )

Congrats on your upcoming date!!!! I only told my family, my best friend, and my supervisor and 2 good work friends before surgery. My thinking was...I will only tell the people who love and care about me. I didn't want to be "monitored" at work and "given the look" when I was eating a square of chocolate. I say follow your heart and if you feel like telling people, go right ahead, if you don't, then don't. I have since started a new job. I have told ZERO people at my new job. They see me losing weight but they also see me with my tennis shoes on and walking on my lunch break...so nobody will know here because really, they really have no need to know. : )

I had my six month check up today and I am down 26 pounds total. I know I shouldn't compare my story to anyone else but I just feel like 26 pounds is so low. The nurse says everything is ok. I have a lot to be proud of - 26 pounds of fat gone is a great start and I feel much better than I did six months ago. I see others losing at a much faster rate than me and I am trying to remain positive. Is anyone else losing the weight this slowly?
