@@RGraham87 I glad to hear you are doing well. Are you walking? If so how far are you able to walk? The up and down of weight lose after this surgery is one of my fears. Not the fear of actually losing weight but getting caught up in I've lost weight, I've lost weight, I've lost weight, oh shit I didn't lose anything I MUST be doing something wrong. It will be hard not to get caught up in that. I will constantly have to remind myself that if I follow the directions, do those things I should be doing, that the weight will come off. But it will be in it's own time.....and that is not Ron's time. Thank you so much for the good wishes!

I hit like 6 or 7 times @@winklie this is probably going to come out the wrong way but it is nice to know we are not alone in our fears. @@Cali_Angel Welcome! @@edie091371 the first two weeks I was fine. At my pre-op appointment my NUT asked have I had been constipated or had diarrhea I said no. The next day I was running to the bathroom. I go between being stopped up and then very loose.

OMG @@edie091371 homemade broth yum yum I may try to fix some after my surgery. You and @@thinner-me have got this pre-op diet no problem. I had to sit at work Thursday while they had a potluck. 8 or more crockpots going all morning long killed me but I stuck with it. @@anewme2015 that sounds like the same experience I had with the pre-op. Sometimes I would get a little hungry but it was manageable. @@Jenaenae84 that does suck. I am so sorry that you have to fix all that while on the liquid diet. Hopefully you did well during the night and only have one more day to make it through. I had a very rough day yesterday. It really hit me all the stuff I will be going through after surgery and I got really scared. I couldn't get it off my mind. The fear of the unknown, will I be able to handle it, will I be miserable, will I regret having this surgery. Even though everyone says "it was the best decision I made." It all came bubbling up. It is still there today but more manageable. I have been very lucky at home. When I went on the liquid diet my wife cleaned out the cabinets of all food and just put my protein drinks on the shelves. Then she doesn't cook anything when I am around. She was VERY worried I would not be able to stick to this diet so she gave me every chance to succeed.

So glad to hear that @@edie091371! I know that was something that worried you. My hope is that they are used to finding our shy veins and it won't be as big a deal as it is at some places. I called the surgeons office today just to make sure everything was in order. It wasn't. It is a good thing I called. They were still waiting on the results of one blood test that my PCP's office swore they did but had not sent the results to the surgeons office yet. Come to find out they never did that test. I had to go down there, get the test and hopefully they will get the results. Let that be a lesson to those that have not made it this far. Call, call, call your surgeons office to ensure everything is in their hands. What would have happened if I hadn't called? I could have gone to the hospital just to be turned away and had my surgery postponed.
