A little sore, but otherwise great!

So I'm scheduled for sleeve tomorrow, not really nervous except today I woke up with a cold... Are they going to reschedule my surgery? I'd be so devastated!
-
So I've jumped through all the hoops my insurance company required and im waiting for approval and I'm meeting with my surgeon next week to schedule VSG... About two years ago I had a consultation with another surgeon who "warned" me about having WLS with a condition I have called psuedotumor cerebri. He stated he had a patient who went blind post op and believes that it was due to her condition and surgery. It has been on my mind even though my doctor and surgeon feel that it was a coincidence and that this doctor is now a little "gun shy".... I can't seem to find anything online with WLS in patients with psuedotumor cerebri.... Anyone have any input? Thanks!

Was Your Gall Bladder Removed?
rdelly01 replied to nprcowboy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm having surgery in December .... Mine is being removed but only because I've had problems with it in the past! ... My doctors office only removes it if you have a history of gallbladder issues. -
So I've read that your feet shrink as the pounds are coming off...(I'm assuming they get thinner and less swelling ) So I'm curious to know how many people went down in shoe size after WLS?

Great tips! -
My surgeons office said they've never really had a problem with my insurance and that's the "ideal" insurance for patients to have ... I'm not too worried but I was waiting for an approval after my 6 month diet so when she said that it kind of threw me off

The waiting game...how did you stand it?
rdelly01 replied to cindyt's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to do a 6 month supervised diet as well and I thought it was bad at that time, but now I've been waiting a week for my insurance company to approve my surgery .... this is so much worse I can't take it anymore!!!it's all I'm thinking about this past week!!! -

So I know the sleeve will help you eat less but does it really help with cravings and eating the right things?

Looking for a " Dear God let me get approved" Pal
rdelly01 replied to Jacqbult's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I had to do one too.... My doctor said it's to make sure your heart is healthy enough to withstand surgery and even if you do not have any known heart problems he wanted it done because a lot of people have heart disease and don't know it -
I'm so excited I finally have a surgery date ....December 4!!!! My surgeon was kind enough to schedule my surgery prior to insurance approval because of my difficult work schedule, however now I am waiting for my insurance.... Hoping I get approved! How long do insurance companies usually take for approval?
