I had a baby 8 months ago, I gained about 40 pounds. I can't seem to get rid of, it's my own fault. I over eat, I eat things I'm not supposed to and I snack a lot. I don't have much time for the gym anymore because I work all day see my kids for an hour then go to school at night and don't get home until 10 pm I feel so down and I feel like I ruined my surgery And not sure how to get back on track My problem is I eat even when I'm not hungry I no longer have insurance so I'm on my own

I have zero issues and my baby is 8 months

I had a home birth 8 months ago post op Had a csection pre op I'm still nursing and have no issues

I had no problems either Just can't rid of this weight and can't stop eating now

I haven't seen many posts regarding pregnancy after gastric bypass I Am 14 months post RNY and almost 6 weeks pregnant I'm super nervous about my baby getting the nutrients it needs. Anyone out there experience pregnancy post RNY ?

That's amazing Having a baby is such a blessing, having gastric bypass alone doesn't disqualify you. My midwifes main concern for a home birth was placenta placement but I think for anyone that's a concern. Everything worked in my favor and we succeeded. Also If your an insulin dependent diabetic I think that disqualifies you

Thank you I'm aware of how to google and such additionally I am working with a very informative midwife however I was looking for more of people's personal experiences, I have a child already but with this one I have the RNY under my belt. It will be very different this time around

My surgeon has said that I seem to be losing weight on the lesser end of what's expected. Meaning she would like it if I lost more. Recently i have started running a mile 2-3 times a week with short breathers in between, I have never been a runner and I feel like I am doing more than ever now, but I've been at a stand still for 3 weeks or so and I don't understand. Surgeon told me not to take protein drinks because I was sabotaging myself and not to eat if I was not hungry, so I'm not sure if I should eat even when I'm not hungry or just have my fluids she's not the nicest to talk to and I'm pretty confused and frustrated

I don't do that either I think I'm not eating enough I don't know

Ya it's super tough and I'm dreading my next appt I'm sure she will scold me and say that I have not lost enough Thank you for the kind words

The thing is I don't drink protein shakes at all and I drink literally nothing but water(which grosses me out at times) at least 5bottles a day. Crystal light makes me more thirsty so I don't use them, just plain water, recently had labs drawn and my pcp said everything came back normal. She basically told me to eat steak and chicken and to stay away from yogurt etc. I've lost 52 pounds and I'm 4 months post op, I know everyone is different but I saw one lady post she lost 110 lbs in 5 months so I'm thinking what the heck am I doing wrong. I guess I'm stuck at should I not eat at all if I'm not hungry? Or eat anyway? I'm usually only hungry in the morning and I'll have 1egg. Thank you all for your feedback

Every year I lose my voice and my throat hurts and I have a lot of phlegm, before surgery I would load up on mucinex and ibuprofen and sometimes DayQuil, I know now that I can't take ibuprofen for pain and inflammation and I'm sure Tylenol won't help. Any suggestions on what's safe to take? Had rny 8/8/14

I had rny and I had a Jp drain. It was taken out before I left the hospital. I also had a ng tube in place which apparently not all surgeons do, that was the worst thing ever
