Insurance approval received. Scheduled for surgery on May 5th

I am waiying to hear back from my insurance company for approval. Completed the pre-op requirements. I live in Snohomish.

I am almost completed with my 6 month pre-op requirements. Today I received my EGD results...positive for Barretts Esophagus. My surgeon said the sleeve was no longer a good option for me as it could make my esophagus worse & that I should consider a RNY instead. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I am also just starting this process. Met with the Nutritionist and Surgeon yesterday. My insurance (Premera) requires a 6 month pre-approval process, must attend 7 monthly nutrition classes (last class scheduled 03/05/15). My BMI is 41 and have Hypertension and Sleep Apnea.
