i had a tummy tuck done not apron surgery.....so i dont know if u still want me to post up my pics.....as its a different thing:confused:

ok i just found out what happened the girl had a heart valve....so it wasnt form the band it was from the surgery as i already tho it was no matter what surgery she was going in to have it wouldv happened anyway:mad: She actually died from a heart attack and all the tests should have been carried out before the op so im not quite sure what happened with that. So please just make sure before u have the op.....please get all your tests done before hand Goodluck in your decision:)

i said it was Friend of a friend not a FRIEND of mine it was the surgery some complications. i will see what else i can find out about it and let you know

Hi Fleur i have been banded for 6 months now and still not sure if i have hit that sweet spot as yet. It can take up to 4 or 5 fills for you to actually start feeling restriction. You will notice a difference once u get your next fill hopefully. Hang in there, be patient and dont get to disheartened as you are only on the beginning of your new journey. If your worried about gaining weight call your surgeon to book in for another fill. Goodluck and keep us posted:)

ok......well im sorry to say but late last year a friend of a friend died while getting her band put in She was only 31 yrs old and a mother of 3 children:mad: im not trying to scare anyone here i just wanted to let you know that it can happen with the band I think she weighed over 300pounds and ran into a few complications.

ok well today is the 12th so i thought i would post up my weight loss today just incase i forget on the 15th:confused: i have lost a total of 28kg:).....it has came to a stop and im going to see my doc next week and hopefully i will get another fill:omg: i also havent been exercising as much as what i shouldv been im going to try to exercise a bit more:think i hope your all doing well:)

i dont mind either if its in the city the problem im finding hard is organising a day to suit everyone there always only seems to be a cpl interested and thats it so come on everyone lets get away from the kids for a bit and meet up and have a coffee and put some faces to names stop making excuses:p and lets all catch up:)

well he said no that i cant have anymore:cry but im very grateful that i have 4 beautiful children :)

Phili like others have said a fill can take a week to kick in propley you are still new to the band and getting use to it.....its not going to be the same as before you had your fill the other night i had a real bad vomiting episode.....like im talking 6 times i just couldnt stop throwing up.....the reason i think it happened was because i cooked a roast and was nibbling on the punpkin which had alot of fat on it...the fat mustv blocked it up and thats why i threw up so many times cause i kept nibbling. I was worried after that and didnt eat for a day i just had liquids.....then 2 days later i started back on solids and havent had a problem since:) if you can keep your Water down you shouldnt be to tight maybe you didnt chew the food enuf without realising cause having a fill is different to having no fill if your still worried call Peter hope your feeling betta:)

im 6 months post op next week and have lost 27kg....dunno what that is in pounds:eek: as long as we are losing thats the main thing each one of us is different and some might have a faster metabolism than others and exercise more:) dont be disheartened......just think where would we be now WITHOUT the band:confused: i know i wouldv been atleast 35kg heavier than what i am today
