ok, y'all ... been slacking...I lost 4.5 lbs last time I got on the scale so -
I can't help, either, as I actually did not have to have a psych eval...can you call your insurance company and ask who's in the plan? Or ask your primary care physician for a referral?? They just need to make sure your expectations are realistic and stuff like that, so I'd imagine most phsychologists could do that. And yes, it's scary, but it will not be a mistake. It is expensive, but YOU ARE WORTH IT. That's what I had to tell myself, especially since I paid out of pocket. I was so nervous afterwards that it was a waste, but I know now it wasn't, it is really the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. (since my son was born ) so, don't worry, be happy, and good luck!!

Hi peeps...am I welcome at the December 11th meeting??? I will need some heavy-duty reinforcement then - FINALS!!!!! Nothing like the stress of graduate finals to make you eat everything in sight. Teresa & LSasha, I promise I won't order Sprite this time!!!! But how bout those margaritas???? -
Y'all are doing great!!! I have been just trying to watch myself and not eat junk and limit my carbs - I guess it worked some because I've lost 4.5 lbs. Cool. Now I need to phase in the whole exercise thing....someday....
-
I AM ALIVE!!!!! I have been so busy, I haven't been able to get on in awhile!!! I miss you all!!! I know, I know, I love Sprite...and Ginger Ale...but I have been trying with my Crystal Light and water and iced tea with Splenda....though, I won't lie and pretend I don't break down sometimes, but I am doing much better...I have even lost a little more weight!!! Talk to you all soon!!!

Oh, sweetheart. I know it's tough. Some days just suck, and that's the truth. Some weeks or months suck too. But eventually, even if you can't see it yet, there'll be a way out, and it won't suck anymore. I felt that way for awhile, thought maybe I should've gotten gastric, but then I decided to roll with it. I eventually started feeling better, and that's when the weight started coming off. I'm not sure of what to say, just know that we're all here for eachother and even though it's a slow and frustrating process, we can do it. Believe in yourself. I'll pray for you - Carrie

yay! I'm so glas Lisa was kicked off. She was attention starved AND she thought she knew everything and was going to win. I like Nik, too. And Kim. I don't like that bratty girl...the one with the long brown hair, I forget her name. She is annoying.

I'm trying to wait until Friday to get on the scale. I told you all about my weigh issue - I do it 3-4 times a day. But I did it this morning and will not get on again until Friday morning. Baby steps... -
Breakfast: low carb shake snack: polly-o string cheese lunch: meat & cheese (no bread or condiments) dinner: ??? drinks: WATER!!!

Hey guys, sorry I couldn't make it on Sunday, I planned on coming but I was nannying until 3 am on Saturday, so when I fell asleep I was out. I woke up too late to come out. I wanted to see you all again! Teresa, you are a wonderful person and the way you are in your posts is exactly how you are in person - real, easy to talk to, and caring. Love it! Lsasha, you are too funny! Don't worry, your first fill will be easy and you'll be thin in no time. Hope to see you both again soon. Hey, are thos caps for me? You'll be proud to know I have not had a single carbonated beverage since our lunch! And this morning I had a shake for breakfast at 7:30. So there. Thanks for helping me get on that...talk to you soon!

My low carb diet lasted all of one day...ok, breakfast. Today I took my child to Bob Evans and had 1/2 a biscuit with sausage gravy drenched on it so it would go down, and water. I probably won't eat again until 5...can someone help me out of this bad eating rut??? I am still losing weight, but I know it's not the right way!!! I need to get that band around my head!!!
-
Oh, and ps, did you watch America's Next Top Model? If so, who got voted off on Wed????
-
Oh my goodness, you're like my role model!!! You seem to be always on the right track with exercise and eating! Remember my new low carb lifestyle??? That lasted all of breakfast. So, failure again. But this is not the place for that!!! This is all about NSVs...and I have confidence, too. More than usual!!! I might even think some guys are looking at me cause I'm cute, not fat!!!! No, that can't be right...do I have toilet paper on my shoe????
-
For real! 3rd Sunday of every month...I'll have to mark it in my calendar (and then not look at my calendar again until after the date has passed). I always do that!!! I try.

LSASHA ROCKS! I wish I could eat like you! I am so picky, though and have no willpower. I'm trying the low carb deal, I love some pink lemonade Crystal Light I drink Slim Fast for Low Carb - pretty good. Way to go!!! -
um, mine is very shameful and embarassing...but hey, I guess telling all keeps me responsible now I'm being good: Low Carb Protein shake for bfast, will have either another shake or celery and low carb ranch for lunch, and for dinner chicken consomme and Crystal Light. the past few days: no breakfast, queso and tortilla chips anywhere between 12-2, then maybe ABCs&123s for dinner, or mac and cheese (very cheesy) it's hard for me to eat a lot of things, so I have been sticking with what works (crunchy chips because they dissolve and go down) also, I have been drinking Coke like there's no tomorrow--I love the stuff! >sigh< But, I know this is not right, so I have started a new low carb lifestyle that will help the scale move down, not up!!! I need some serious help in this department. Willpower? What's that???

Let us know the next time, and I will definitely try to make it there...I think everyone needs support, and it's great to have people who have gone through the same experiences you are. See you soon!

Don't worry! I was stuck for so long, but finally started losing again. I've lost 26.5 pounds in 4 months, which is like 6 pounds a month, or 1.5 pounds a week. But that's spreading it out, which it wasn't. I was stuck for awhile and then slowly got moving again. You can do it, and now you're here, in Turtle Land, where you can get the support and help you need. Let it all out, we've all been there and done it, felt it, and experienced it. Don't give up and don't be ashamed! You have still lost weight, and that's what matters! Try to weigh yourself only once a week, because scales fluctuate at different times of the day and water weight - all that can change your weight. Plus, who needs that evil scale anyway? What are some of your non-scale victories? Do you feel better? Look better? Clothes getting looser? Let us know!
-
Kathy, you're the best Thanks for letting everyone one in on your life and your challenges as a bandster. You rock! I have that c-section pouch overhang stomach thing, too. Are you considering a tummy tuck when it's all said and done? I hate that overhang, it's sooooooo ugly, but it is getting smaller slowly but surely. Luv ya and keep up the good work!!!

NSV time - I like looking in the mirror and don't feel so disgusted when I catch a glimpse of myself. I feel like I'm looking thinner, even though I weigh a good 220! Still, it's smaller than before. Go Turtles, Go Turtles, Go!
