I am down 50 pounds since October 22nd. It was a very rough time during the post op phase but I am doing fantastic today. I have basically donated my entire closet of clothes. I am now wearing a size 12 in jeans.....it has been a long time since I was this thin. Still have 40 pounds to lose but I am well on my way. I wish everyone else continued success.

Can you ever eat "Normal" food again?

I am 9 weeks out and was doing ok until the last week. The thought of eating eggs will make me sick to my stomach and I have been nauseated the better part of last week. I feel like I am regressing a little. Today, I had a yogurt, 3 bites of fish and for dinner 2 oz of pork roast and a few cubes of potato. Liquids are a struggle as well. I am going to have a protein drink to try and get hydrated and some protein in. Anyone else experiencing this.....I have NO APPETITE at all. -
Feet and hands are cold after surgery. Very strange.

Pills have so many harsh side effects. IMO, the roux n y would be very appropriate to help with weight loss and your medical issues.

I am 3.5 weeks post op and my energy is way up, so much that I am not sleeping. I cannot believe how much I have got done around the house. Feeling super productive and probably going to crash soon.

More difficulty in the evening?
VASCRN replied to NicoleSW's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was the opposit. Late afternoon and evenings were my best time. -
Thanks, I agree my food pas not puréed enough and may have been on the dry side.

Bariatric advantage.
-
I just mashed up some flounder and squash. I had a few bites and then had the most intense chest pain that lasted about 10 minutes. This is the third time I have had this happen when I try puréed foods. Anyone else experiencing this pain when eating?

That explains the blurry vision. Awesome information.

I had a cup of cream of potato soup from Panera yesterday. I picked out any bits of bacon and mashed up the potato. It went down and stayed.

starting to get depressed

Jonathan, you are so right. I have tried to follow the nutritionist plan until the point I was sick. I then called the doctors office and the first thing they said was, "I do not care about the protein, just stay hydrated" and it started to make sense. So now I try to get my meds and a couple tablespoons of cottage cheese for breakfast. Lunch is some some with protein powder and the vitamins. Little by little I manage. -
@@Bronxmerci, I am very sorry to hear of your struggles. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I know when we consent to surgery we really do not expect anything to be less than ideal. I am sure a feeding tube was not what you had in mind. Take care and stay positive.
