Oct 07 Bandsters - how are you doing?
wotring.mary replied to yankeerobin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Everything I have read about hair loss is it is temporary and will come back. The Protein helps. I am so happy that you are feeling better. The ups and downs are the pits though. I am sick with the flu and have no appetite and know I need to eat...how strange!!! I am concentrating on fluids right now and a little food here and there. Still happy though. I am down 57 pounds prior to the flu so it will be interesting to see what the scales say when I get back to work (I weigh at work and the doctor's only). Have a great day and keep going. Mary -

I was banded 19 Oct 07 and only took the pain meds the day after surgery since I had a 3 hour drive home. After that, tylenol was all I needed. Lots of fluids so you don't get dehydrated and movement to keep the gas moving was the key for me. Rest is important so the help would be good for you. Babycat, How are you doing. Hope all went well. I am still pleased as can be with my surgery. I feel as if I have been given a new lease on life. My first fill will be 28 Nov 07. Occassionally feeling some hunger but rarely. I feel sso blessed. Good luck on your first few days.....once you get the routine down it will feel less foreign to you, at least it did to me. Good luck. Banded 10/19/07 Starting weight 276# Wt 11/17/07 244# 32# down and 110# to go!!!!:whoo:

It was a breeze, the pain was minimal and after 2 days no narcotics. I was truly surprised. I was banded 19 Oct 07. I am on full solids, never hungary, or if I am, it feels very different from pre-surgery hungar. My physical pain levels have decreased 75-80%. I am so delighted. Hang in there, you can do this and the rest of your life will be so manageable, even with the ups and downs. Mary 274 day of surgery 251 today goal 134
