  1. I'm scheduled for surgery on 3/11. I've had a hysterectomy and colon surgery and my doctor told me he might have to open me up if there is too much scar tissue. I sure hope he doesn't have to do it but even if he does it can't be any worse than the other two and it'll be worth it to get rid of this horrible weight I carry around. Good luck to you and hang in there.

Lower BMI thread (I guess we got moved!)

I'm so excited! I found out today that my insurance company has approved my surgery! It'll probably happen sometime next month. I can't wait to get on the road to healthy. My BMI is 37 and I'm 50 years old so I know my weight loss will be slow. I'm glad to hear that so many of you with low BMI have been so successful.
  3. I'm currently jumping through the hoops my insurance requires before surgery and hope to have the procedure sometime in January. I'm working with the Jewish Hospital Center for Weight Loss Surgery in Cincinnati and the procedure would be performed by Dr. Elliot Fegelman. Has anyone had any experience with him or the Jewish Hospital? Teri H. Cincinnati
