I'm taking a medical billing and coding class and I was just thinking about what the allowed amounts are because these prices are all over the place and I'm thinking there has to be an average allowed amount. I don't want to know what mine will cost. Lol. But it's completely covered except for $350 for some big nutrition class or something.

If you're talking about what I think you are, I got the same thing when I had my c-section three years ago. I wore mine off and on for about a year. (I did body wraps and used it to hold them on) I had to wear baggy shirts though.

Have you talked to your doctor?? You should speak with them to make sure it's not something more serious or unrelated to your surgery.

Yup!! And I hope they don't think in gonna make 1200 cals a day on it. There's no way I could do that and it be healthy!

My date is not set yet. I had to do the three month supervised diet too. It's over Dec 4. Then they will send in my info. I will probably start the 4 week liquid diet on the 8th. It isnup posed to take my insurance company 2 weeks max to approve. I started the process September 8th.

I just ha my BP checked at cvs so I could get a $5 off coupon. If normal is 120/80 then 117/83 is pretty decent. I'm normally at 117/74 I've never had a BP problem. The pharmacist feels the need to basically tell me the bottom number is too high be Use I'm too fat....she should thank her lucky stars that I know Jesus because I really wanted to reach across that table and slap the piss out of her! This is why I prefer to only let my DOCTORS talk to me about my health. But in the bright side my items came up to $.29 ????????

So I used to wear 6" heels everyday! I gained too much weight and can't wear them right now. Plus my show size went up a size! Shame because my feet wee already big! ???? I bought these shoes because I love all things America and 4th of July is probably my favorite holiday. I want to be able to wear them next year when my family has their annual block party and our band plays!! (I sing) Sooooo excited at just the thought!!!

So I haven't gotten insurance approval yet. I have 2 more appointments before they can submit my file. But I have 2 big events coming up next year, Church Anniversary formal banquet in April, and one of my best friends is getting married in September. I am SUPER excited about the surgery because for the first time in about 17 years I will be able to put on a formal dress (or any dress) and take pictures with confidence.....full body pictures! I know I can't predict the size I will be by then, especially April, but I am hopeful and determined to do well! I want to be in a FAB gown with FAB HEELS (I was the girl that wore 6" heels almost every day!! I miss it!!). Am I too excited too soon? How did you feel when you made the decision to have WLS?

5'0"; 297; 22W/3x I'm pre-op hoping for a January date!

I really don't know statically answers to all your questions. I'm positive some here can give you that information. But what I do want to say is that I know quite a few people who have opted for WLS as a tool to aide in obtaining a healthier life and the reward is far greater than the risk! Stick around on the boards and you will learn a lot and be motivated! Be blessed!

I think about 10 people in my life know I'm doing this. 2 were trying to talk me out of it at first but it was because they don't know what it's like to be overweight for so long and they knew nothing about what the surgery really is. It's not like lipo! Once I put it like that they were on board. Outside of them I don't really care what anybody else thinks ( I really don't care a whole lot about what thy think either lol).

I was on Pinterest yesterday and I looked up VSG Recipes. They had some interesting flavored shakes. Though I'm not officially in my pre-op diet yet I'm thinking I may start Monday. Since my pre-op allows for one regular meal a day I'll still be able to have food on Thanksgiving.

Well if it goes by BMI then I guess it makes sense. Mine is like 58.4.

You mean you ate coconut oil straight up...right out the jar??? ???? what's that like????

Hmmmm....new clothes...sounds like a plan! Lol!! That one meal a day will be a good one though! I will probably have protein overload!

It's liquid. All but one meal per day has to be water, protein shakes, broth etc. The one good thing that I can see is that I'll spend less on groceries and I found a protein shake that I like. 4 weeks just seems excessive to me. My liver can't be that darn big....can it? ????
