Is there a patient navigator or case manager where you are going? I don't know anyone who had my insurance either so I just asked her to tell me their pattern for approval. I have Amerihealth DC which is a Medicaid managed care insurance. My approval shouldn't take more than 15 days. Good luck

My obsession got WORSE after I met with the surgeon and nutritionist. Lol! The psych appointment kind of messed me up but I'm back to where I was lol obsessed and excited!!!

I feel great! I actually do feel like I have a little more energy. That first day not so much but I do now. I saw my nut for my last required appointment and she have me the paper that outlines what the pre -op diet it but she said I was already doing everything except taking a Multi vitamin which I will get this weekend. AND....I'm down 2 more pounds from yesterday!!!!????????????????

My NUT just told me it depends on the surgeon. Not everyone has to do it. ????

Oh ok. Mine is 57. I need to keep going down because I don't want that! Lol! Those kinds of extras are what make me nervous. ????

I was told that all doctors don't do them. I had to have a Vascular Ultrasound to check for DVT. They do that where I am to see if there is a need for the IVC filter. Did you all not go through that?

Don't let negative comments deter you from what you know is something you need to do for you! I got the same "easy way out" mess thrown at me from my best friend who has never been morbidly obese or even overweight and I told him that he can't relate even a little to what I feel and why I need this. Told him to research the process and he did. He's very supportive now. Your health comes first then your family. With out your health in tact you can't take proper care of your family. From DC. I'm having my surgery at George Washington University Hospital. Haven't gotten a date yet. I have one last appointment with the nutritionist today before they submit for insurance authorization. I'm hoping for a date next month!????

I felt like this guy asked me too much about my family. Their health/mental health issues I understand but where they work! What difference does that make and why do you need me to be more specific than the government...and why do you need their names??? Very strange!
