My surgery date was 8/26/14
nrhannon replied to godkeepsblessing's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wow!!! Just know God loves you & will never leave you. I believe when people walk out of your life you let them go & trust God that he will send some one to give you what person can give you. She may not know how to love you the way God intended, so make room for someone who will, because God already does. -

I forgot to tell you why I know & believe it will work out because a week after my surgery my father died. I thought I would loose it but I focused on his last visit was to make sure I was okay. He told me I could go up & soar after I deal with this. It will be hard but you gonna make it. I had surgery 7/22 he died 7/29 this year. -

So sorry to hear about the lost of your job. Maybe you can change your perpective and see it as a fresh start & put your energy into a new job/career along with a new look. Don't slip into old bad habits, God is always there to help you through. It's a new start just ask God to lead you. -
I do understand, I will be elated to weigh 199. That's what I have told friends when they ask for my goal weight.

I had WLS on July 22nd and now I am having shoulder pain. I was told it is residual gas from surgery. I am taking gas x & helps some. Has anyone experienced this & are any other remedies to help with this? My doctor suggested pain meds.

Excess skin - warning photos
nrhannon replied to AutumnPunkin's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Congrats on your success. You look great, I take excess skin over excess weight anyway. I am two months post op but it does let me know what to expect & I will deal with it then. -
My Natalie & I was sleeved on July 22, 2014. My highest weight was 323 & I have lost about 40lbs so far & feeling much better already. I have been stuggling to lose weight for all of my adult life. After I had my second child I just could not loose the weight & been trying every since. It is so surreal for me to finally have success at a healthy lifestyle. I don't want to mess it up.

Glad to finally be a loser at this.

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
nrhannon replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
The final straw for me was bladder leakage. I have struggled with high blood pressure, sleep apnea, arthritis in knees & back but bladder leakage was the last straw, I am 51 & too young to wear diapers. My smaller sister had the same problem & they fixed hers but because I was obese they told me I had to loose weight.
