United Health
Camarolegend replied to ngoycoanaya@gmail.com's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have United Healthcare. I believe what it does depends on how your employer options it out. I can't tell you how many times I heard how great my insurance was. They didn't require almost any of then prerequisites. They were very good to deal with...and fast. I hit my max out of pocket of 5k but it was all smooth. They even sent me a refund check when I over paid. -
How to deal with fat friends
Camarolegend replied to built2livenotexist's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Bring her along for the ride...lead by example. My 2 cents only. I have no fat friends. I've been the only one. I am only guessing about these posts and what it must be like. My friends are supportive. My "fat" coworkers /employees are inspired. it's "fat" family that can be difficult for me. They are supportive but don't adjust their poor nutritional habits when I'm around. It can be difficult. I just shake my head sometimes and think that used to be me. -
I broke down and ate a couple pieces of Halloween candy....what a let down..that is the end of that. I love that it was not a pleasure anymore!

How to deal with fat friends

I've been very transparent about it. I'm hiding nothing. It's amazing the number of people that are making the same decision I did based on my experience with the sleeve. I believe if I tried to not be transparent it would be a lie of omission. I'm not ashamed...don't be. I'm picking up you may have a little guilt not being up front. In the end it's your decision. I find honesty is the best policy! -

how much weight did you lose each month?
Camarolegend replied to mamaofmatthew's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Sometimes those are fluctuations due to hydration. If you weigh at a low hydration point it can take several days weight loss to show. It will pass. You don't stall so soon after surgery. -

how much weight did you lose each month?
Camarolegend replied to mamaofmatthew's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Wow! I never kept records like that's! I do know I'm at 4 months and have lost 114. So that's on average 28 lbs a month. The first couple of months were definitely faster but I'm still 3-5 lbs a week. -
Fantastic!

My vehicle is getting noticeably better fuel mileage due to hauling less weight every day!

I drank alcohol 4 weeks after surgery and still do every week or two. No problems. It's all liquor...no beer....no carbs.
-
Thanks! It is awesome.

My guess is that it may slow it down due to the high carb content in the fruit. Just a guess. Check with your dietician to be sure.

Good question. I don't know, My thoughts (guess) are the more calories you burn the better, at least until you run out of fat reserves.

I haven't heard of that. I have noticed I get cold easier now. I used to keep my place at 68, now it's 73. I never thought that would happen.
