I love gardening, but I realize that not everyone does. Just do whatever gives you some joy. If that is fake flowers, then go for it.

Healthy side dishes -Kid friendly?

How about a nice green salad with some of those baby corn on the cob things. My grandkids love those. Sweet potato fries? -
Could my first fill be enough?

I had three ccs put in at surgery and have never needed anything else. I was banded on March 5. I haven't had any hunger and I can eat about a cup of food at a time. I'm not sure that a volume measure is really much to go by because a cup of chocolate cake vs. half a cup of Protein and half a cup of green Beans is a world of difference. I just track my calories and stay under 1200. I'm totally content and not worried about setting speed records, as long as I'm losing steadily. -
I'm sorry you are having this difficult struggle, Carolb. Perhaps you could just choose one thing to work on. Drinking the Water, or exchanging the candy for sugar free. I would get all of the unhealthy food out of the house for a while. Hang in there, you can do it.

And you look mahhhhhhhhhveloussssss, darlinkkkkk. Way to gooooooooo.

For me it was almost like a sensory deprivation issue. I missed the sensations of eating. I had no hunger and I still don't. You'll be fine. Keep busy. Keep your eye on the prize. I had two weeks of liquids (clear and full) before and four weeks after surgery. If I can do it so can you.

Thanks for the tip BeverlyDiane. I love the luna moth in your picture. -
If their weight is going upward, do you reckon they should wait until they weigh as much as I do? (140 pounds overweight) At one point I was only 75 pounds over weight and I wasn't exactly successful at losing it or at keeping it at bay. No. I got fatter and fatter. It happens. Try to focus more on your own success, because I know you will have it. You are on your way. :cursing: I don't think it's mean at all, I think the grass is just always greener . . . .

Does anyone get the LB removed just because they don't like it?
Hastings replied to angelface's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Unfortunately there is no way to test the band prior to having it put in. If there were, I'm sure (judging from some posts on this forum) that some people would opt out. It's just like anything else, not for everyone. -
Two days of trying to ride my trikke and I'm grounded with a knee that isn't functioning too well. I'm not sure what I did to it, but it was from the trikke. I'll try again when my knee is healed up.

Swedish Fish???

Sooo . . . Some people have got them stuck and some people haven't. All you have to do is ask yourself "Do I feel lucky today?" Remember maybe some people who eat them may be without restriction, in which case they can eat just about anything. It might be a good opportunity to find a more healthy substitute. -
Since you are trying to achieve a new level of health, it might be the best to just give up soda. It's so unhealthy, even the diet kind. I wouldn't give soda pouch space, and I used to be a heavy duty coke drinker.
-
Same with me, I can't drink after eating, it would just show up again.

I'm not sure it's an issue with the pliable Water bottles, Indiogirl. I just think that plastic bottles left in the car give water a nasty taste. lol Snopes.com is always a great check for things, I think. -
I can't eat bread. My partner is watching his triglycerides. He doesn't eat breads or rice or Pasta very much. Neither do I. I don't miss them. I take Vitamins. If something is working for you, I wouldn't give a second thought to what anyone else is doing. It's your body, after all.

The hard plastic is polycarbonate. A simple way to determine whether a bottle or food container is made of polycarbonate is to look at the recycling code on the bottom of the container. If the recycling code is #7, this indicates polycarbonate plastics. To avoid polycarbonates, choose containers made of glass or polyethylene (#1, #2, #4 recycling codes), or polypropylene (#5). Canada is considering banning it. I don't use it and it's best not to use it in a microwave. -
Ah, in your first post you didn't mention that you were throwing up. Throwing up is not normal! Restriction is and should slow your eating. Many folks are tighter in the morning than any other time of day, so eating Breakfast might take a while. You might need to work on that grazing, though. Hundreds of calories sneak through. You might try keeping a food journal, I use sparkpeople.com online. It's free. You might be amazed at how many calories you are eating. While the band helps, YOU are the one who decides what you eat and when. Go for it.

I eat tuna all the time with no issues, but I will avoid hard boiled eggs like the plague. I had my worst pb on hb eggs.
