August post op sleevers: Check in

@@Galaxy Girl - thanks for replying. I am most definitely working on getting the Proteins in. I will check out the 'frozen" section of the store. Didn't know about the Atkins coffee drink, but it sounds tempting, as coffee is one of my weaknesses. Good luck to everyone on this road to a New You!!! -

Hello Sleevers, Although I am continuing to loose pounds & inches, I am having the hardest time getting in 60-80 grams of Protein. I simply do not have the urge to eat anything and even when I drink, I get the fullness feeling very quickly. Does anyone have suggestions? I only have about 15-20lbs left to lose for my own personal reasons. Thanks, -

I am very excited to read/hear all the success stories for everyone, but I must agree - the August sleevers ROCK! You all are doing very well. I was sleeved August 19th. Highest weight - 289 Pre-op weight - 279 Current weight - 220.5 Goal weight - 150-180 fits my body frame - LOL I must say I feel awesome! It really feels nice to reach into the back of the closet and put on something that's WAYYYYYYYYY too BIG from 2-months ago and slide into something that you've been dying to get back into...... I say keep up the great work to everyone!!!! Let's WALK this weight off.... Everyone have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! -
You can also try greek yogurt if you like, just watch the sugar content. I've also eaten refriend Beans with shredded cheese and lobster or crawfish bisque. After all, it's just a soup, but very fulfilling. Refried beans with a very soft egg on top and a mild taco sauce is very good as well. As of Protein shakes, I like Isoplus or Muscle Milk ones. I have also tried Carnation instant Breakfast drinks. They only have 10g of protein but works well for on the go people, like myself. Good luck on your Quest to find a healthier you!!!

Karen Scott, I agree with m4nurse, there are lots to things to eat, it just depends on what you like. Recently, I made chicken salad with ranch dressing (low-fat of course). I used canned chicken and put in a food processor to make it easier to digest. I also made ground turkey meatloaf with gravy to keep it juicy. It really depends on your food preference, but there are lots of things to do. It's for sure having this surgery has me creating meals or eating things I thought I'd never eat. Good luck to everyone! -

Old_rn, I too am afraid to eat solid food. So afraid, I fixed Turkey meatloaf with mashed potatoes. I mashed the meat very well and I've had no issues thus far. I too would also welcome any recipe ideas. Thanks -

I'm loving this site and all the replies on "all" topics. They have been very insightful!!!! I too had the issue with being backed-up and tried Smooth Move tea. I drank it as warm as I could handle and by 5 a.m. the next morning, things were moving quit well!!! Good luck to all and I wish everyone great success on their endeavor to a healtier YOU!! -
I work in the corporate world as a retirement analyst, which worked well for me cause I can work from home, which I did for two weeks. I was very grateful for that because I was very tired and needed to rest in between work-lol. Besides, I couldn't drive and didn't have anyone to help me. I'm now doing much better and wish I could work from home EVERYDAY!

I'm one month post-op and I must say it was challenging to remember that I couldn't chug down Water or juice. I'm not a soda drinker, so that was easy. This is most definitely a life changing event and if you're going thru with the surgery, you MUST have a made up mind to adhere to the Dr post opp instructions. It's for the best, I promise! Good luck on your journey! -
Wow Bubblehead those are some great ideas for the puree stage. I'm trying the shrimp one this weekend. Thanks again,

Hi kpar909956, I'm worried now, as I can't drink 3 bottles of water. I'm only doing abt one and a half, the protein drink if I can. I get that full feeling very quick.

Hi everyone, I was sleeved on August 19th and thus far I've had no serious issues. I'm down 23lbs and counting, with light walking about 30-45 mins/three days a week. What I'm dealing with now, is restlessness and fatigue. My sleep pattern is totally off and I'm very tired all the time. All I want to do is sleep. Any suggestions would be welcomed!
