    Dizzy and weak

Thanks for the replies! I was talking to my mom today and I am on a pretty high dose of blood pressure medicine, so I am wondering if maybe I am having bouts of hypotension. I am going to start charting my blood pressure and see if that is what it is. If not, I think i will call my doc. It makes trying to get exercise miserable!

My NUT did not include the nutritional value for this, so I added the protein from all the ingredients and divided by 8 since I cut the finished product into 8 equal squares to make about 1 ounce servings. With the ingredients I bought, I calculated that each 1 oz serving had about 6.5 grams of protein.

Sorry guys! Didn't see these requests for the recipe until now, been out shopping with my hubby! Here is the recipe. Shelly ' s Baked Ricotta 8 oz part skim ricotta 1/2 cup grated parmesan 1 large egg beaten 1 tsp italian seasoning 1/2 cup marinara 1/2 cup reduced fat shredded mozzarella Mix ricotta cheese, parmesan, beaten egg, and seasoning together and place in oven proof dish. Pour marinara on top and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake in the oven at 450 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes.

My NUT and physician don't recommend counting calories at this early stage yet. I am just focused on making sure I eat enough protein and stay with sugar free items

I bet! I am only a few days into the mashed/pureed phase. I don't think I could survive this phase without the baked ricotta... it is so amazing and helps me with my pizza and Italian cravings. I have been eating any mashed potatoes yet though, I just have never been a big mashed potatoes fan. I am so focused on protein right now, so I usually only have a meat and some kind of soft cheese.
  6. I was sleeved on 11/4/14. I am feel like I am doing well. Getting my required 75 to 85 grams of protein and at least 54 ounces of fluids each and every day. I moved to the pureed/mashed phase on Wednesday and ever since I feel very light headed/dizzy when I walk or drive. Anyone else experience this? And if so, how long does this normally last? Thanks!

My soft food stage is at 5 weeks too. My NUT told me that I can have turkey that is very very moist and can add broth or low fat gravy to help with the moistness. Also, I can have mashed potatoes, soft mashed carrots, and green bean casserole if I picked the crunchy fried onions off. My surgery date was 11/4/14.
  8. Hello! I was recently sleeved on Tuesday 11/4/14. I am from Evansville, Indiana and I was wondering if there were any other people from my neck of the woods on the sleeve journey as well? I would love to connect with some local people for some added support. Thanks!
  9. I was in for about 48 hours. I had my surgery on Tuesday 11/4/14 at 9am and I left the hospital on Thursday 11/6/14 at about 10am.
  10. I am 13 days out and have felt the same way off and on since I got home from the hospital. During my hospital stay I was so focused on my pain and getting well enough to go home I didn't have time to have buyer's remorse. The reality of it really didn't sink in until a few days ago. I just keep telling myself it will be better in two days, then I can go onto the pureed - mashed phase of the diet.
