My doctor told me after 18 months your body has pretty much reset and that is where the easier weight loss stops. -
Stalled out and GAINING!
justwondering replied to Scuffy's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My doctor told me it is really hard to stretch out your stomach. He said it will stretch out but usually not a huge amount. He said the weight gain is usually what you are eating and how often you are eating. Go back to the basics. There is a "5 day pouch test" you can do, it is supposed to kick start you again. Good Luck! You can do this! -
I had my surgery August 2014. It has happened to me three times, twice the third day after surgery. We ruled it down to the protein powder I was using. I at first thought it was the pain meds so I stopped it and when I drank my next protein it happened again. Then it didn't happen again until about a month ago about 20 minutes after I ate a protein bar in a new flavor....

I am 44, my surgery date was 8/7/14. At 10 months out I have lost 104 pounds. I do have a lot of loose skin in my stomach. My neck does not look as bad as I feared it would and people actually tell me I look younger. So be excited for what is to come, it is for sure a journey but it is so worth it. I did not have a goal weight in mind when I started this I was just trying to get healthy, I have meet my medical goal as far as the doctor is concerned and he thinks I will still lose another 10 to 15 pounds. I am one who still sees myself 100 pounds heavier but my mind is starting to shift, it is a slow process for me to see myself different. Good luck to all!

My hairdresser told me to use Bedhead shampoo and conditioner, the number 3 one for weak fragile hair. I also cut mine have noticed the hair loss has slowed down.

How long before you returned to work?
justwondering replied to chuck415's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I had my surgery 8/7/14 and went back 8/26/14 with no problems. I have a desk job in a very busy doctors office. -
I went back at two weeks with no problems. It felt good to get back to normal.

I was wondering my bowel movements have been either a golden / or a almost white color. Is this normal? I have one about every 4 or 5 days. I am 5 weeks post op.
