Thanks Islandlassie, my dr has a support group, but the time does not work out so that i can go. i am going to look into the castle support group to see if that will work out better. i am going to read all the info the dr gave me before the surgery and kinda just start over again. thanks for your help

Hey Girls, I Need Some Help In A Big Way. I Am In Honolulu And Was Banded In Nov '07. I Was Doing Good, Sticking To Plan And Then I Had Death In The Family And Bring On The Emotional Eating. I Have Not Lost What I Should Have And Worse I Have Begun To Gain. I Just Have No Motivation To Get Me Back On Track. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!! Also, If Anyone Is In Honolulu And Is Looking For An Exercise Buddy And Support Person, I Really Need One!!!! Thanks In Advance, I Know You All Will Help Me Through This!!!

I Had Fluid In My Band Right After Surgery, 1.4 Ml. I Just Saw Dr Today And Got A Fill(felt Ok) And Now I Have 2 Cc, I Drank The Water Fine...just Feel Like I Have A Lump In My Chest. I Have To Start Eating Yogurt,cottage Cheese And Eggs. Best Luck To Everyone

i go see my dr today @ 3...i hope i get a fill. i have been doing 3 protein shakes a day but i can so eat more and drink all i want....let you know how it goes.

i have been banded for 2 weeks and have felt some of those things...you called you dr(right thing to do)just keep an eye on yourself and see how things go, i think it must be normal.

i am at 2 weeks post op and down 13 pounds which makes it much easier to drink liquids only, i have to do that for 1 month...then are you sitting down? i get to have yogurt and cottage cheese and blended soup, can not tell you how much i look forward to that!!!!

So, This PB2..powered Peanut Butter, How Does That Work, Can You Use It In Anything Other Than shakes And Is It Worth It To Go Buy It? Thanks

i had the same conversation with myself and in the end i told people that i wanted to. after being overweight for 27 years and feeling bad about myself because people make fun of overweight people.....i said you know what, screw em. i have don't care what people think of it, i am 100% glad i did it and that is all that matters. good luck and best wishes on surgery and who you tell

i am able to swallow all pills, i am on effexor as well as 2 others..i just have to take them one at a time and i take them with a slimy protein drink...not as bad as it sounds, drink is called profect. but so far no problems.

congrats!!!!!!!!!! so happy for you, did you do the skinny, lost weight dance? you really have to. you inspire me to keep on drinking my protein shakes(yuck)

the day of my surgery i walked every hour for 10 min to help with the gas pains, it really helped. so, i know you are sore, but if you can walk just a little that will help alot!!!! good luck and feel better. banded on 11-5-07 lost 12 pounds to date

the dr i went with is not with any hospitals here, i had surgery in mainland. he does have an office here and that is where i will go for my fills. my in-laws live windward side, no problem to meet up, extra support would be great. how much have you lost since you got banded in oct? i have yet to get on a scale.....nervous. sunshine

PER MY DR I SHOULB BE TAKING IN AT LEAST 600-800 CAL, WITH MY PROTEIN DRINKS ALL I CAN TAKE IN IS 300, MAYBE 400. ANY TIPS? :help:I AM ON ALL LIQUIDS ONLY. THANKS

Aloha Everyone!!! I Was Got My Band On Nov 5th, I Went To Dr Paul Cirangle. I Am In Honolulu. I Wanted To Get In Done As Fast As I Could Since I Had Been Thinking And Researching It For The Past 5 Years. I Met With Dr Cirangle, Did All My Pre-opt Test And Had The Surgery 1 Month Later. I Am Not Sure If That Was The Best Way To Go, I Did Have To Pay Way More....but I Guess The End Result Is The Same And In The End That Is All That Matters To Me!!! Good Luck To Everyone

I Have Been Coughing Alot As Well, In The Hospital They Told Me To Put A Pillow On My Stomach And It Will Not Hurt So Much. My Cough Sounds The Same, Not Sure Why We Have It...but If It Stays Around Too Long I Am Gonna Call My Dr

i also got my band on monday nov 5th, was pretty sore for the first 3 days and am having hard time drinking my 64 oz of fluid. i am feeling much better today and am able to drink more!!!! never thought i would be so happy to drink water!!! so far so good, i have yet to get on the scale and i am gonna wait a couple of weeks to do so. best wishes to everyone
