Hi Im Peggy and thus begins my journey

Approximately 14 months ago I was seeing a physicians assistant in my surgeons office to complete my 3 month supervised diet. I completed 2 months and then was convinced by my well meaning son that I shouldn't get the surgery, that I should lose the weight on my own. Well its 14 months down the road and I have actually gained back the weight I lost in those 2 months. My other concern was the malabsorbtion of my psych meds. So I recently realized I could get the sleeve and not have to worry about the absorbtion issues. So I attended the seminar put on by Dr. Valentine and solidified my decision to have the sleeve done. I saw Dr. Valentine on September 6, 2014 and at that time he told me since I had already completed 2 months of supervised diet I only needed to complete one additional month, woohoo!! I saw his PA on the 12th and she said all I needed to do was follow their dietary rules and see the dietician and they would contact my insurance and get the approval to do the surgery. I see the dietician on the 30th, so I could conceivably have my surgery sometime in October or November!! I am extremely excited to say the least lol. I am hoping to lose around 150 lbs. Wish me luck!!
