Hello,

I'm Andy. I'm 55, married with 3 step-daughers and 6 grandchildren and live in Shropshire, UK which is a rural county in the Midlands famous because we are home to the National Agricultural University and the National Sports Centre although not much sport seems to take place these days, it's mostly administrative. I work full-time as Managing Director for a company which sells widgets into the Automotive manufacturing supply chain. I have a sedentary lifestyle and I am [was} a bit of a foodie in that I would see a few hours in a good restaurant as a great night out...

I've joined bariatricpal.com in the hope of getting some support as I embark on my weight loss program.
I saw my surgeon 2 days ago and agreed a date for the procedure of October 25th and so I'm getting my head around what's in store. I'm 355 lbs today and although I have to agree a target with my team I have a number in my head which is 175 lbs so an overall weight loss of 180 lbs or in local terms 15 stones <[b]yikes![/b]>.

So, into the unknown - I hope I find someone to talk to along the way...
