LOL..every doc differs on what they tell you about sodas some will tell you that oh no absolutely do not drink them bc it can cause gas and stretch your pouch...I have done a lot of research and the basic "guess" is that it doesnt stretch your pouch bc its liquid and goes straight thru to your lower stomach but there are still mixed reviews its pretty close to being half and half so I think the safest thing is to avoid sodas besides theyre just empty calories....that being said I still dont drink sodas but since the red bull is a "lightly carbonated beverage" I have 1 from time to time You tell Kim that 9lbs is awesome...I swear jason youre gonna surpass my weightloss in NO time....

JASON-somebody told me today that I should look into getting a trainer let me know if you have any luck ALABAMAGIRL- I still drink redbull but its lightly carbonated. I have had an amp drink too though no problems. Energy drinks are my addiction. I let sodas go no problem but not my redbull...even though I drink it a lot less now but cant give it up completely...lol

LOL. I wasnt trying to be rude in anyway but everytime I read posts about ppl looking for support or even when I make posts looking for support its always get over it....thats not what ppl on here need or want to hear. Its almost like whats the point...Thats all.

JASON-stay away from tator tots son!!! LOL Anything like that (bread, french fries, pasta) runs a greater risk of sticking I dont know what it is but no matter how I chew tator tots they get stuck.....I'm sure I could puree it and it would still make me sick lol. Sounds like overall youre doing great though...cant wait till the support group I'm excited as it will be my first!

You know what I thought this was a freaking support forum too but boy have I been proven WRONG ppl here of our own kind put me down more than I have experienced from ppl who have no idea about weight loss surgery. You ppl need to imagine how you would have felt if you asked for a to go box somewhere and your server made a huge sene about how you think youre too good for the food or asked if you had a eating disorder or something. I'm sure everyone on here has experienced some sort of humiliation at one point or another...so for crying out loud be freaking supportive of ppl that are coming to this forum FOR SUPPORT!!!!!!! So, DesertRose, I'm sorry but I would ask to speak to the owner of that franchise...I'm sure they wouldnt appreciate customers being treated that way...and besides the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT...what happened to that?????? being charged full price for something ok I can see why they wouldnt budge but to be treated that way...HELL NO! They charge for "extra meat" suggest that they just charge you for extra meat instead of the whole sandwich. Not everyone is that rude. I would have totally gone off on that guy and made sure he was fired ppl need to learn how to be customer friendly ....rudeness is what customer service is all about these days.......It doesnt matter where you go anymore everyones attitudes are shitty! Its just like going out to eat at say red lobster if youre my server and you let my husbands tea glass stay empty for 15 mins (yes this happened) and then make a loud sigh when he asks you for more tea..... you will not I repeat you will not get a nice tip from me...and I worked thru college as a server so I know what it takes to make ppl happy. Anyway DONT LET PPL tell you that you have to settle just bc you had wt loss surgery. And everyones right attention doesnt have to be brought to the fact that you had wt loss surgery but when you do tell places this then the least they could do is try to accomodate in some fashion..even if they couldnt lower the price the least they could do is be polite about it.... Ive never told a rest. that I had surgery I just ask for half order or ask if i can order off the lunch menu....I have never had a problem..... you are the customer and if someone really wants to sell a product then they need to do what is necessary to make you happy and thats all there is to it.....now lets see how many supportive posts we can get now :teeth_smile::wink_smile:

OH I LOVE posts like these: I want to sit in a chair at ppls houses that looks kinda flemsy and not worry about breaking it! Hey, I see someone else on here was banded by Dr. Black in Anniston. I was banded by Dr. Black as well back in January. Kelley: how were your fills with him??!! I had to have several fills because I just wasnt getting any restriction. Most of the time he's been putting in .5cc or 1cc this last time he put in 2cc...I was kinda shocked anyway. Most days are fine but there are some days that I can't eat ANYTHING. I have to see him wed. and my weightloss this time has been GREAT but I'm kinda thinking of an unfill of maybe .5??!!

The mucous is called sliming I think. I do that if I take too big of a bite...try cutting all of your food before you eat or maybe you need to have a little taken out they say it can take 2 weeks for a fill to kick in 2cc may not be enough but 4cc could be too much so try 3cc in your band. Remember to CHEW!!!

AH- you sound just like I did. I was so ticked about a month or 2 after surgery bc I was doing it all. I was like screw this stupid thing TAKE IT OUT I was not losing a single lb........then finally I got the perfect fill ppl call it the "sweet spot" and now everytime I step on the scale Im lighter and lighter......your time too will come...be patient get your fills let your band heal and you will do GREAT!!!!!!!!

I dont see how it could evaporate...I would be concerned. I'm glad only my surgeon does my fills.

I had a friend that tried Alli and shes done well. I think shes lost about 25 lbs which is the most she has been able to lose in a long time. The biggest prob she has if she does eat something that is higher in fat then she has LOTS of gas she says LOTS AND LOTS and has to go the bathroom frequently I guess until the food is out of her system....so because she doesnt want embarassing gas she eats healthier...

The surgery is so short that a lot of ppl say that they cant even tell they were intubated. Generally if youre intubated for a long time it causes you to have a sore throat but since the surgery is so short a lot of ppl say they didnt notice anything sore with their throat. I didnt notice anything but you have to be intubated bc of the anesthesia.
