Im wondering if shes not just dehydrated...I wouldnt expect to see dry mouth for no reason...who knows. -
I'm like you-lost weight several times on my own and with md...but generally after about 5-6 months of weight loss I would always manage to gain it back. So- that said I am now almost a yr out and have lost 63lbs--this is the most I have ever lost and the longest I have ever kept it off. Vomitting-will you vomit..its def possible. The lap band is a learning process. You have to learn how to eat slowly and not drink with your meals...can it be done...YES Hanging skin-that depends on how over weight you are..for me I only have a little haning that I have noticed on the backs of my arms..but my arms have always been really big. I think it depends on age, how fast you lose the weight and how your weight is distributed if all your weight is in your belly you can bet on some hanging skin. I would rather have loose skin than be fat any day. But thats me! You have to ask yourself if this is something that you can commit to for the rest of your life, can you give up carbonated drinks including beer, can you commit to going to see the doc frequently esp in the first year.... I suggest that you continue reading about the lap band and attend a seminar. The seminars are very informative and you can listen to what others went through and they can answer your questions on a face to face basis. Good luck. Just remember the lap band is a lifetime committment.

You gotta remember that you're taking in less overall cuz you get water from your food as well and youre losing weight so your "extra body water" you had before prob compensated for your meds' side effects. Im not saying this is what the prob is but its def a possibility. Plus Ive heard ppl say that there meds didnt bother them and theyd been taking them forever then all of a sudden wham they have vomitting everytime they take it...why our bodies suddenly act so adversly who knows...it depends on the drug I guess and some meds you can build toxicity..so good luck to ya...I bet your doc thinks differently as to the cause...I'll be interested to hear what he/she says. but is there anything else going on new wise? also Do a google for med interaction checker..list all your meds and make sure none interact..sometimes interactions can cause new probs. PM me if you want with the med it may be one I know and I can give you better insight. Also, how much water were you drinking before -you could just still be dehydrated. It takes a lot of water to getyour body out of dehydration mode. -

OK-my first question for you is are you on any meds that could cause dry mouth or cotton mouth? Are you on any meds that can lead to dehydration? I would check your meds side effects for these. You may think well Ive taken the meds forever and its never caused a problem before but remember your body is different now. Are you a diabetic or are you taking anything for allergies...all this can cause dry mouth. Any new meds??? Hope it gets better!!! In the meantime try sugarfree hard candy. -

Hey I havent tried that. I really need something liquid that is good for bfast bc by 8:00 i am starving but cant get anything in but liquids until about 11 or 12...honestly though I havent found a shake yet that is high in protein that I like. Thats mainly why I do the shooters bc its bad taste(not too bad) for a really short period. But in your opinion how does the choc truffle compare to other shakes? -

Ok, they're in a test tube or big vial looking thing and right now my walmart has them in 2 places out with all the exercise stuff and near all the other protein supps. But theyre called super whey protein shot. 1 vial is 2.9 oz for 26G of Protein. So far the only flavor Ive seen at walmart is fruit punch. They have 110 calories. Hope this helps -

Yeah its 26G and honestly I cant do a whole protein shake I mean for me the taste is absolutely HORRIBLe not saying that the protein bullets are any better but its a couple of shots and youre done. And I follow it with sugar free fruit punch so its actually pretty good -

GNC had other flavors but for me the fruit punch is the best...the others have more of that nasty protein taste!!! -

your jeans and shoes shouldnt weigh any more than about 2lbs..so its def more than 1/2 way...thats awesome!!!!! I get my protein shooters now from walmart...for whatever reason our walmart has suddenly started carrying them but before that I was getting them from GNC but they're a tad bit more cost wise but ifyou joint GNC thing at the beginning of every month you get storewide discounts!! Sounds like Jason that this fill is doing great for you!! I cant eat bread anymore either...no biggie though! I am loving the fact that everytime I get on the scale (remeber I weigh everyday) Im losing more and more...its a great feeling.... -

Shawna When I was first banded I had probs with being tighter once a month  but I havent since about the 3rd month. This is just crazy....like yesterday I had sliced turkey and cheese on crackers for lunch...no prob. last night I try to eat....Couldnt do it....Its like every other meal I get sick I even got sick one day last week with milk.....Im trying to stick it out and making sure Im chewing my food to mush but I just dont know if this isnt better by the end of the week Im gonna get .25 of the .5 taken out. But yeah that once a month tightness is due to the fluid shifts in your body...you swell and bloat in odd places :w00t: It sounds like I missed a good meeting sat. I will hopefully be at the next one...I was beat after clinicals this weekend so Im ready for a day off... -

So from time to time I think its human nature to get discouraged and feel like the lbs just won't come off (I know Ive been there plenty of times) so I think to help with this a good thing to do is to look back to where you were before you had your surgery! COMPARE-and remember you're way better off today than you were then!!!! Besides the scale what has changed in your life since the lapband?!

Ouch 2 weeks...I didnt have to do any special diet presurgery....YOU CAN DO IT THOUGH!!! Just focus on the ultimate goal!!!!!!!
