Alex, I'm wishing you the very best of luck. I'm not sure I understand about the band slippage. I was under the impresson that onces your stomach has healed from surgery that there would be scare tissue around the band that would hold it in place. I thought that was the reason we can not eat solids for the first 6 weeks. Please explain this to me. I'm only 3 weeks post-op.

Was wondering if any one with the band has every taken diet pills. Before I got the band I was taking a diet pill that gave me engery (did not keep me from eating) Now that I have the band I don't seem to get hungrey but don't seem to have enough engery.

I was banded in Mexico buy Dr Rumbaut, He suggested that I used Dr. santiago Horgan for my fills. Does anyone know what he charges?

yes I know he's in chicago. I can fly round trip for about $160.00 so that want be to bad. Dr. Rumbaut highly recommended him. The closes Dr. I have found near me would still be 4hr. drive. Thank you for his number.

I own a small buy here pay here car lot. My DH and I also have a towing company which keeps us busy 24hrs aday. We have two great kids, son is 22, daughter is 16. My favorite job is being NANA to my 6months. old grandson, he is the best.

I'm 14 days post-op and the swelling in my stomach doesn't seem to be going away. How long does this last?

I had my hysterectomy when I was 23. It was the best thing that a Doctor every did for me. From the time my daughter was borned to the day of surgery I had a period. I actually thought I was going to bleed to death.

Dr. Ron Hekier I am sitting here reading my release papers and It states that I received a Inamed 9.75 cm Lapband (5cc balloon) it goes on to say how many stitches he used. What I'm saying is he went into great detail on what he did and how he did it. So are you telling me that the 5cc balloon is incorrect.

Isn't it strange how we all have different taste buds. I think crystal light taste alot sweeter than fruit 2 o.

I'm feeling fine. The mushie food is going okay, but I sure do want a large salad with a half bottle of ranch dressing. But the swelling in my stomach just don't seem to be going down.

The pain from the incisions to me were not bad at all. The gas pain was another story. I'm two weeks out of surgery and I still have some gas pains. But I did go back to work 4 days after surgery (desk job) -

Hi jKelley I'm only about 30 min. from you (Opelika). I had surgery on Aug. 8, 2005 in Mexico. Dr. Rumbaut did my surgery. Where did you have surgery? -

I couldn't admitt that I was fat till my first grandchild was born in Feb. It hit me then that if I want to be able to get down in the floor and play with him, I had to do something. Thats when I started doing research on the band.

I had glue and steri-strips, my surgery was 10 days ago, all the steri-strips have came off except on the port.
