I'm only three months out and done had 2 fills. I would sure think about getting another fill if I were you.

Hi, Welcome to bandland. The one thing that I would suggest is to get assisstance at the airport. You can call ahead and explain that you will be having surgery, and they will have a wheel chair for you and some will push you to the gates to catch your flight. I flew from Atlanta, had to change planes in houston. That is a lot of walking to do right after surgery. Good luck, if you have any more question please ask.

I got 40, and it fits to a T

almost 3 months out and I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones, I could eat anything (just not as much) and not have a problem. But I was wrong. I had breakfast around 8:oo am. I went to the mall at lunch time. I know my stomach was empty had a very small breakfast. I got a cheese won ton. oh boy was that a mistake. I only took one small bite. I was running thru the mall trying to get outside. I made it to one of the side doors. I was so greatful that no one was standing there. Foam was pouring out my mouth when I open the door. I don't understand this. I thought you only had PB's when you ate to much or to big a bite or to fast. I know I had done neither of these. The bite of cheese won ton was no bigger than a dime. Can anyone explain this to me? I don't want this to ever happen again.

I was only 24 when I had my hysterectomy. I was out of work for a week, but no lifting for six weeks. I can honstly say that having the hysterectomy was the best thing that a Dr. has ever did for me. No more pain every month.

I had my second fill on Friday. Puts me at 3.1cc. I have not had a problem with pb but I have this tightness feeling in the middle of my chest, if I breath deep it is worse. Tonight I was able to eat one grilled chicken finger and two bites of mashed potatoes kept it down with out any problem. I think I may need a unfill. What do you think?

I went to day and got my second fill. I am now at 3.1cc. At both fills the Dr. has had me drink the white stuff that taste like chalk (guessing this is a barium swallow) and he always does the fill with fluoro. What I'm wondering is if there was a problem with the band, eroson, slip etc. Would he be able to see it with the barium swallow and fluoro?

Wendy, welcome to bandland. A lot of what you said sounds like me. I have lost and gained the same 80lbs at least 20 times. I did this so much that I messed my thyroid up. I am hoping that the band will help me keep it off this time. I have had no trouble with the band so far.

Welcome to bandland. Take it easy on the treadmill your only a week out. I would think that the burping could be from where they blow you up during surgery.

I can feel the port, but not the band. I have not had any problems with any food. I have been able to eat anything I wanted but just smaller amount. I have not had a PB. Ihope that I don't. My first fill was 2.0cc I will be having my second fill this friday.

Welcome to bandland. The liquid stage is the hardest. Hope everything goes well at your Dr. today.

That is so great. Don't worry about the flight. Just sit back and relax and think about the great time you and your friend will have.

Hi everyone, I have lost 37 or 38 lbs, but most of that was the first month. It has really slowed down now. Maybe one lb. a week now if I'm lucky. I have had one fill of 2.0cc and will be going back this friday to get another fill. I hope it gives me some restriction.

I had 2.0cc on 9-21-05 I still don't fill anything. Going back on the 28th hope to get that sweet spot with this one.

Hi I live in Opelika Alabama, I also had my surgery in Mexico, I fly to Chicago to get my fills it only cost me $250.00 for a fill and I can fly from Atlanta to Chicago for 78.00.

Hi, Dr. Rumbaut also did my surgery. I went to a Dr. in chicago that Dr. Rumbaut recommended. He also put in 2cc. I am trying to schedule another fill now, because I still do not fill any restriction.

I felt crappy for a little over a week, but I had a three hour plane ride then stuck at Houston airport for 8 hrs, then a four hour plane ride to atlanta, and then a two hour drive in the car. You will do great.
