Why must they give you a surgery date without insurance approval?
tissiegirl replied to meryl0707's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Meryl0707 I don't get that...my surgeon office won't give you a date until you get the insurance approval. The only thing I can think of is if they book up quick you'll have your date. I know it's so frustrating -
I was freaking too NewMary83 you'll do great ! Thoughts will be with you and everyone having surgeries this week !

Wishing u the best lucky 2014 for tomorrow!

It's been a week since my surgery. Since last Monday I've lost about 10 pounds. Yesterday I ended up in the ER think more paranoia. Felt my heart rate was elevated and had shortness of breathe. Signs of a blood clot. I've been taking my blood thinning shots and walking. They did a CT scan and ekg and they both came out good. My oxygen level was 96 which was good especially I live at altitude. I am feeling nausea not wanting my shakes. I am feeling constipated too hoping that passes. My tube comes out Thursday drainage has slowed down. My tube started leaking but Dr said perfectly normal think I just get too freaked out about everything !

Will be thinking of you chubby 1 during your surgery tomorrow my surgery was last Monday I was so nervous my blood pressure sky rocketed they knew it was nerves anesthesiologist wasn't concern once they gave me sedative I calmed down. We all get nervous think it's a natural instinct. Best wishes for tomorrow.

Melanie will be thinking of you during surgery today!

Bayls1212 it's does a little bit I diligently been cleaning the tube so there is no clotting in it. The surgeon will take it out on Thurs 19th I think it's same day my shots will stop. The worse was getting my period the day before surgery.

I'm still in hospital and my iv drip is potassium and will have food supplements of potassium when I get home
-
Chrissy bug my doctor it takes about 2 weeks to get over the fatigue. Your low on potassium and feel lifeless tired and lathargic. My Dr requires v8 juice, tomato juice or tomato soup. They are all high in Potassium . I heard less painful than drinking water. I'm on day three after surgery I am still in the hospital but will be coming home tomorrow. Will start my potassium regimen once released.

It's is on my list from my nut for both pre and post. Other patients from my surgeon uses it. Think they get the best price at Sam's Club -

Thanks ! Was curious I read on the boards sometimes people experience gallbladder attacks and end up with gallstones. My surgeon said in the 90's when they did the surgeries the norm was to take the gallbladders out automatically now they don't only if there s seems to big an issue.

Premier protein shakes at costco sams club and I think walmart
