HI---My name is Vicki and I live in southeast Michigan with my hubby and elderly mother.  58 years old. I thought about this surgery (sleeve) for about a year.   Did a lot of research online and found this website which helps a lot!!!.  Watched some you tube videos of sleeve surgery.  With my insurance (HAP) you have to do six months in a weight loss program so I went through Henry Ford's weight management program for the first six months of 2014.  I quit smoking in January 2014.  I lost almost 30 pounds this past year and have kept it off.  I can't really exercise because of my knees.  I am hoping that the more weight I take off the more I will be able to do and I really hope the pain goes away.  
I gained a TON of weight after suffering from broken bones in 2008 and 2011.  I was petrified of falling...I became VERY inactive.  As I gained weight I became more depressed about how I looked, how I felt....self-pity.......ate more...got bigger....got more depressed....ate more.............
I finally became sick of me....my life.....decided to start making changes.   :)
