FINALLY I pooped! Lol I'm so excited and actually feel better. Ok here is a funny story. My niece and her lil 3 yo Daphne live with me and are my support. Well daphne is in potty training and every time she goes she gets a potty prize. So after I went my niece asked me if I was able to go and I said yes lil daphne said "good boy!" Then ran to the bathroom and came back with one of her potty prizes. I was lmaoing so hard. Here is a pic oh what she chose for me. Haha

I went 7 days without BM. I started to get worried. I ended up crushing some exlax. It took 2 days to work. But eventually did its thing. Good luck.cool I tried miralax but nothing so far. I was thinking of trying some milk of magnesia. I am normally constipated all the time from before this surgery due to all the pain meds I'm on from spinal cord dmg. Think it would be ok to use milk of magnesia?

When was your surgery?Mine was Monday and they said if I hadn't had any inkling of having one Thursday (today) at noon I should medicate with miralax to have results by Friday. I had results today on its own, though! Mine was Monday too. But I'm wondering if it's also due to pain meds I'm on. I have previous pain from neck back leg and feet. So I'm in morphine sulfer. Norco gabapentin and cymbalta. I took a colace 100mg today

Yes the walking really does help. They are discharging me today at 5. Woo hoo.

Hi peeps. Had a rough night, but wasn't to do with the surgery my room mate gad a bad night so he kept me up. After I finally fell asleep I slept for 2 hours and woke from the pain. But doing good now have been sipping water like a champ. She has me sipping 1 Oz every 15 mins and taught me how to take pills. Actually feeling really good. Been walking around alot and sitting in a chair. I'm prolly jinxing myself lol. Anyway how are you guys doing? And how is the other may 11th person doing? Ohh been have a few hiccup fits, they don't last long though thankful for that. They hurt.

Well surgery done. There was a miss communication and I sat out in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours so they were rushing me for 30 mins or i would.miss.my time in the OR. So far just.slept today and walked twice. They said no water today they will start it tomorrow.

My surgery is Monday morning it was set for 930 but they called today and change it to 730

My surgery is next mon. In excited and scared all at once lol. I have been losing weight for the last few months almost 30 lbs. My dr said I didn't really need to do the liquid diet since I've lost weight but I am doing anyways so I'll be use to the liquid only after surgery.

Yeah my surgery date is May 11 I'm so excited. I've also been tidying so I lost 20 pounds in the last month and a half and my doctor says I don't really need to do the liquid diet before the two weeks.

Woot woot! Just got my surgery date today. It is May 11th. I'm so excited now just waiting on the coordinator to set up the pre op tests.

Hi all, I'm excited! I just got the call and got approved for surgery. She said the coordinator for Dr Leport will be calling me soon to set up my pre op apts. When I went to their orientation class they have not said anything about a preoperative diet and it doesn't say anything about it in their paperwork either. Anyone ever had leport? Anyway woot woot I'm so excited. Thanks for listening.

To me it sounds like the rules you are not following are going to make this a failure for you I. The future. Just my thoughts.

Hi all. I am going to be starting my preoperative diet soon. What is the best or better protein shakes and other items should I be getting in prep for this? I have heard isopure is very good. What flavors? Do I get the low carb or no carb? Much appreciated for all the info. Chris

SweetGAPeach, Brightlife, and Starting New thank you all for the advice. It seems like premier protein will be the best choice. Are these bottles or are they powder mix? If they have both maybe I'll try them. Thanks so much again.

Hi all, I am new here and just got cal optima. I want to have the wls surgery possibly the sleeve. I have to choose either the kaiser network or a medical group or a PCP dr. I am in orange county calif. Please any help or guidance on how to choose to get the best chances of getting approved would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance Chris
