LOL no problem....I will started the couch to 5k once I am released and able to run! Gibson....don't drop out....go for when you park....park farther.... or just 5 minutes per day....a start is a start...! We'll cheer you all the way...you can do it!

alright had a meeting on the 1st floor...today...instead of going with the mass croud afterwards I went up the stairs...back up to my office... dragged a friend with me...LOL... but we did it!

congrats on the surgery approval travellegal...soon to be on the banded side! I know what you mean about the drive candy...I got lucky the last couple of days and my travel to and from work has only been 35 minutes...knock on wood.....it was dream come true both days in a row! atlspeedy...what's your update on your process everything ok?

I love sparkpeople....Is kind of like this site but for anyone who is loosing weight.. Last night got 15 minutes walk in plus then went to the mall and walked for a while....(not counting that) so I have done 125 minutes of exercise and my goal is 150 per week I have until Friday to complete the 150.

You've been released to do any type of exercise? I was banded on 2/4/08 my doctor is conservative thought.....I can't do anything but walk until told otherwise...(which I hope is at first fill).

Excellent.... Megan I have visited fitday.com......I sort of like it..but I think I will stay with sparkpeople.com. Today I got on the treadmill did 35:25 (1.67 miles I think). Was a bit in pain on some of the incisions today don't know why...so I took it a bit slow. But got 'er done!

LOL It's good to know we are on the same boat...or at least some of us! I made some bandster friendly Peanut Butter Cookies.... I'll share the recipe: 1cup of peanut butter 1/2 cup of splenda 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1 egg Mix first four ingredients well and add egg. Spoon onto baking sheet. Bake at 350degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 12- 3inch cookies. Calories 65 per cookie I ate 1 and it carved my craving for sweets and it was filling as a treat! And ofcourse it wasn't cheating!!! :rolleyes2: -
cool NSV! Your DBF sounds like my DH. We were at a store this past Sunday going down a ramp and he just out of nowhere grabbed my behind and said he just had too...since it is looking smaller and rounder....LOL

allykat I am soooo glad you are doing better. I was told after leaving the hospital on same day of surgery to drink some gatorade g2 in between protein shakes because of the electolytes (sorry for spelling) and to help balance some hormones...I did follow directions but thought it was weird..after reading your story...I am glad I did as told... Hang in there..you will feel better once you start to eat solids...you feel well...human again.....and it is thrilling to go out to a restaurant and have such self control....all because of our secret weapon(the band)!

And I was throwing myself a pity party because my doc made me wait 6 1/2 weeks after surgery to get my 1st fill....boy...I am sorry you have to wait until April....but we are in this together! :rolleyes2: -
Ouch Angie about the basement...but you are so right...no other exercise works better than to clean up a mess you didn't want to do in the first place...hope everything is ok and nothing was damaged.

This is a crazy thread. DieselAngel is awesome bringing up controversy in my opinion. Perhaps she had a change of heart on the surgery and is searching for a blame who just happened to be her mother. or maybe not. Wjbluv I don't think people's reactions were to talk or look down at you. Your decision to get the band your decision to have it removed. You aren't the first one and most likely won't be the last person who has it removed. And on that note....has anyone wondered if DieselAngel & wjbluv are one and the same person...? just a thought.. -
I kind of untechnically pb'd but it wasn't a technical actual pb...if that makes sense. A pb is a productive burp where the food comes right back up as you swallowed it(usually too big to go thru the band. I threw up but it was in the same mushie chunks I ate it as.(sorry for being gross) I think I just didn't see the signs that I was full and overate...and I threw up. Actual pb not yet...it freaks me out...but I know once I am filled it will happen ...during unconcious eating. But I am trying that it doesn't.

Banded on 2/4/08. I have lost a total of 20 lbs since surgery. Have been gaining and loosing the same 3 lbs since mushies/solid foods. But at least I have not gained and kept my loss at 20 lbs. Trying to maintain until 1st fill March 19. -
How's everyone....I hope enjoying our Georgia weather..I did my 30 minutes of exercise for the day but it is so nice out ...I plan on getting home and after dinner...taking a walk.... Have a great day!

Today Monday 3/3/08 Treamill 15 minutes & Spinning 15 minutes thought(lunch break over) my challenge for the week Saturday to Friday is 150 minutes...have done 75 minutes... so far so good.....
