I was sleeved on 9/4/14 and when I weighed myself tonight at the gym I found that I have lost 93 pounds. I was hoping to lose 100 pounds by my 5th month and now I have a chance to hit that mark before the 4th month. It has taken a lot of hard work, but I am proud of the decision I made. It has been years since I felt this well.

Rev1379, With my work schedule I eat 5 times a day. On average I take in between 600 to 700 calaries a day. I go to the gym 6 days a week and mostly walk for about 75 minutes at a speed of 3.5 miles an hour and an incline between 10 and 12. This helps me burn between 1300 and 1400 calaries a day. Once I hit 100 pounds I plan to start adding some weight training so I can tone up and I've read that the more muscle you have the more calaries your body burns while resting. Hope this helps.

Just started on soft foods and I was wondering what everyone does at the beginning to get the 60 grams of protein each day. I made an egg and couldn't eat it all. Will I have to continue with protein shakes for awhile?

Hey all, I was sleeved on 9/4/14 with Dr. Dirk Rodriguez performing the surgery. My weight at the time of my surgery was 399 lbs and in the week that followed I lost 14 lbs. My journey to word my present situation began back in 2002 when I tore my acl. I had surgery to repair it and soon after I began gaining weight. I've tried diets and exercise but I couldn't keep the weight off. I heard about the sleeve from a co-worker and began looking into it. I then decided it was what I needed to help me change my life. The first week started out a little rough, but I kept working through it and it has gotten easier. The only thing I'm waiting on now is being able to take a normal drink instead of constant sipping. Lol.

Amazed at some day one or two post op recovery stories

This is day 10 for me. The first 2 days were the worst for me when it came to pain. Just about all of it was from the gas they used. I struggled the first 4 days with getting the recommended fluids and protein, but then I set a schedule and haven't had any problems since. I'm also up to a cup of fluids an hour. When it comes to exercise I waited a week before I began exercising. I walk at least 2 miles in an hour on a treadmill. -
Hey all, I've been wondering since the day of my surgery how long it would be before I would be able to sleep on my stomach. Those of you who sleep on your stomachs how long did it take for you to he able to do so? Thanks.

Hey all, I had the sleeve done back on 9/4/14. For the past week I have been sipping on water. How long did each of you have to do this before you could start drinking normally again? thanks.
