I am 6 weeks post op... Will be seeing my doctor onWednesday. Was curious have any of you had a flu shot? I take one every year because I am a teacher and I pick up a lot of germs. Was not sure if we have to wait or if I could go ahead and have it. I'm very protective of my sleeve these days !! Lol thanks Alyce

I need some help. I was put on solid foods on Thursday October 9th....two days ago to be exact... And I feel horrible after I eat anything. I tried salad... Have total indigestion... Chicken... Burping indigestion... I am weighing it... 2 or three ounces... Fine while I am eating... 20 minutes later... Horrible... I want to throw up.. But I don't . I don't want to eat anymore. I hate this feeling. Can anyone tell me what is going on. I had a test on Thursday ... My doctor said my sleeve looked great... I really need some suggestions. Alyce

Went to my appointment yesterday ... Down 36... Total 49 with preop. Was 307... Now 258. I was put on solid foods .. ( I was going to say whole foods) lol. Now I am nervous about eating... I know I have to chew chew chew... For example I am dying for a salad and the NUT said go ahead ... Can lettuce get caught in my sleeve? Alyce

Was wondering if anyone has taken their flu shot yet? I an almost six weeks post op and want to get my flu shot. I am a teacher and usually have very mild stuff since getting the flu shot. I do go for my six week check up Wednesday so I will ask my doctor... I was just wondering if it is safe with just having surgery? Alyce

I was told I needed to be on mine for 1 year post surgery.

Does anyone ever wake up with nausea? I am 6 weeks out and for the second time this week I woke up with nausea. I have been able to see something the same . The night before I ate my dinner ... Still on soft foods... At 8:00 pm when'I normally eat at five. I have not gone to bed for a couple of hours after . Any correlation ?

Thank you... Never had this before I was sleeved! Anything I can take for this? I do go to the doctor Wednesday for my 6 week post op... I will be sure to ask. It poses a problem because I don't want to eat or drink in the morning .

Wished you lived closer ... I have an entire bottle that I filled and never used. Try the liquid Tylenol that was suggested! It should help .

I had my surgery on a Wednesday ... Went home Thursday ... Saturday I got my haircut... Sunday went food shopping... Monday was Labor Day and Tuesday went back to work. I am a teacher. I am now five weeks post op and feel good. I am also no spring chicken ... I'm 58

I am five weeks post op. My face is the first thing that slimmed down and my neck.... I have some lines now that we're not there before... My arms around the underneath part are getting dimples... Must be losing there. Clothes are all big. I am down 35 pounds and go for for my six week check up next week. People are starting to notice but they are not sure what to say... One girl said... Oh your hair has gotten longer ... She knows something is different but not sure what to say. When I hit 50 pounds down I will be happier!

I am five weeks out and have never stepped on my scale at home. I weigh when I see my doctor. I made that decision on my own. When I weighed at my two week check up I was thrilled . Now I go again next Wednesday and I am equally excited to step on the scale. The scale is not your predictor of your future... You are . Hang in there. Alyce

I had it for an entire week... Like water ... Very normal! It will change! Your body has been through some changes . I am now five weeks out today! Everything has been normal in that area for several weeks now!

The sane thing happened to me... I am five weeks post op... So it does get better . I never stressed about it... As time went on I could drink a little more and a little more....

I use it in my V8 juice... I have about half a cup. Can't taste it or smell it. Alyce

I ate three small pieces of chicken and within 40 minutes felt sick... Like I felt when I are the tuna... Maybe not soft enough even though my book says chicken ... I am four weeks tomorrow and feeling like all I can eat are eggs.. Cottage cheese... A little cheese... And all the things from the liquid diet... Is this only because the stomach is healing or will this be my way of life six months or a year from now? I did so much research before this procedure but I don't think I focused enough on the whole process afterwards. I have a small bite or two and then I'm full. Alyce

I had tuna today for the first time.. I am almost 4 weeks post op and on soft foods ... Thought I would try tuna... It literally got stuck going down and I was in so much pain I could even finish eating ... Even after chewing it... It just didn't go down correctly. What is that about... Having trouble with ideas for lunch ... I have been taking egg salad and that has been great but I needed to change it up. Feeling like I don't even want to eat. Alyce

Can I hear from anyone using a straw with no ill side effects?
