I wanted to do some progress pic updates if anyone is interested!

Also, I've definitely gained a lot of confidence about working out at the gym since I last posted! I've actually been hit on there too lol unless I'm reading too much into guys "helping" me take the 45 lbs plates off the bench press ????
But there is something wrong with me! I had a very attractive guy offer to spot me if I needed it and my reply?! Okay, thanks... ???? and I went on to say I just needed lighter weights. Smh
In my defense, I was struggling with my military presses because all of the lighter weights were being used, so I looked (and felt) ridiculous trying to do so much weight lol
But it made me realize I have no game. And now I'm wondering if I'll ever work up the confidence to talk to him again (he usually works out with another guy so it's a little more intimidating to approach him)

The fat marbled within your muscle. Good point B-52. In maintenance its not about the weight loss anymore. I'm not afraid of gain only if its lean muscle.
I have to admit I am a bit obsessed after seeing how my body is transforming so far. Thanks for the progression Photos!@@Chrystee. I hope others share them. It inspires me that this can be done.
I was intimidated moving to the guy's area of the weight room. I'm now one of the guy's after a year on the floor.

I haven't had my WLS yet (I get sleeved on Thursday). But I'm already feeling somewhat awkward for what is in store. It's going to be awkward when I meet new people as someone who is thin, and eventually tell them that I once used to be over 200 pounds (my max weight was 255). I'm dreading that moment. But, I'm more excited about losing the weight and getting my life back than anything.

My One Year Surgery-versary, I was talking to a co-worker saying how it'd been a year and she said "Yeah, I remember when you first started, I said to myself 'Man, she sure is FAT'". I was so surprised by her comment, all I could do was nod.
Seeing people who knew the 'old me' who don't recognize the 'new me' and I have to basically re-introduce myself.
People who know about my surgery - and I've been very open about it - who have no problems asking how much I've lost now and what my goal is...so with some simple math they can figure out what my starting weight was. I'm proud of my weight loss but not as comfortable with the world knowing my starting point...

My daughter met a young man that was working as a clerk at a gas station. He was talking to her and my daughter could tell that he liked her and was going to ask her out. Another girl was working at the gas station too. She knew my daughter from elementary and middle school. She said to the boy in front of my daughter that she used to be fat. He just looked at the girl and said well she's not now. The manager heard the conversation and he fired the girl on the spot. My daughter was so embarrassed. She never did go out with the boy.

I am struggling with the skin..... my bat wings as I call my arms... I have a lot of skin in my thighs butt area... it bothers me but it bothers me less then being overweight... I am single and it might take some time for me to be comfy with sharing myself with anyone.... but I feel so much better... still fighting with the lack of energy.... and still working on accepting that part of me... but I feel normal again.... people dont stare at me I am no longer the fattest person in any given area... and guys even hold doors open for me... I wish I had done it sooner

I'm also on bodybuilding.com. Their head office is here. Great perk for where I live. I burnt some muscle running after surgery. It was not a good look for me. My goal is healthy. Can't wait to see some gains.

I've been weight training a couple years. Recently getting more serious, I lost a lot of muscle after my WLS. It can take quite some time, I think. I don't use any system or plan though, I just read stuff on bodybuilding.com and do strength exercises that I put together.

Everyone has trouble getting going at some point. You’re tired. You’re busy. You don’t feel like exercising. The weather’s bad. You can think of a million things you’d rather do.
But you know you have to get moving, so how do you get out the door? Do you remind yourself of your reasons, like health, weight loss, and looking good? Do you schedule workouts with an exercise buddy so you don’t chicken out? Do you try new workouts and group exercise classes so you’re never bored? Do you save up great new songs to listen to, or episodes of your favorite TV shows to watch while you’re on the treadmill or stationary bike? Do you make sure you don’t think about until you’ve started, so you don’t have a chance to talk yourself out of it? Do you tell yourself it’s okay if you only do 5 minutes, so long as you at least get started?
There are so many ways to help get yourself started on your workout. Share your tips for getting your workout in, especially on those days when you don’t really feel like it! Your tricks can really help others get motivated to get out the door on those tough days.

UPDATE: We stopped in Vegas on our way to Utah to go riding. Didn't drink alcohol because we still had driving to do. We had an amazing time. He laughs at my portion size. We did eat out just about everyday. We chose his meal together from the healthier options, then he allowed me to take my share. Commenting along the way that he won't ever miss 2 oz of his meal.
I think the biggest part of my dilemma was I thought he wanted to lose weight with me and I was supper frustrated that he wasn't willing to change. I am coping much better with the advice that I chose this surgery, My life will forever be changed. He didn't have this surgery so he doesn't have to tool. I was getting all stressed out trying to help him eat healthy, reminding him to not drink. SCREW that!! He is a big boy, if he wants things to stay that way, why should it stress me out. I now say "I am heading to the gym" and off I go. If he tags along fine, if he watches TV fine.
Eventually he may get on board but for now it looks like life as usual at least for him. I am down 30 lbs!!!!

I think considering couples therapy is a smart idea. Relationship issues are like icebergs, 90% below the surface. Many spouses worry that a slimmer, sexier mate might leave them because they have more options. Some people feel guilty or embarrassed when they stay overweight but their mate gets slim. Significant weight loss IS life-changing and it's not unusual for family members to worry that things will change, or they will get left behind.
Of course, I don't know you or your hubby but this is food for thought.

So I had my plastics consult.. My surgeon said that she's had really good luck with insurances paying for most of the plastics..
We are trying for a 360 lift, I have good reason, cause I get rashes in the back where I sweat a lot (TMI, but butt crack area ). She also believes I don't need much in way of a breast lift, just removal of some skin to tighten them up.
She also thinks I don't need arms redone, but a little Lipo she says will tighten my arm, and then I'm hoping for a little neck lift as well..
    I'm so excited!
