Do You Log Your Food?

    Yep, every day.
  3. I actually find some women being nicer to me too.. like in the grocery store, striking up a conversation.. which I never had before either..
  4. I'm not really resentful.. the attention is sometimes a little weird for me.. I've always dressed well, worked out.. and done my makeup and hair.. but I actually feel pretty. I've always been told I had a good personality.. I don't really blame anyone.. I'm superficial at times myself.
  5. Yesterday, was the first day in my entire life that I felt pretty..

You look very happy and pretty in your profile picture. I am glad you finally get to feel that way.

"I just feel happy and pretty and wonderful" -- Chrystee, you realize, I hope, that you're saying you feel fully alive. You have me weeping with happiness for you.

I run with headphones, so I wouldn't know.. I also run with a 90 pound American Bulldog.. I have also thought about getting a small can of mace I can clip to his leash just in case..

    Starting an exercise routine

You have to get over some of this mentality. I used to go to the gym religiously even at 318 pounds. No one cares that you are there.. no one is judging you.. I found my best friends through the gym and we encourage each other. I run outside. I bike outside.. You can work out at home too, but I find myself more motivated with fit friends.

    Dumb bells vs Kettle bells

Kettlebells are awesome, and you can use them in many different ways! I would go with Kettlebells.
  9. Really tired of giving two shit's about people who don't give two shits about me.

Chrystee, in the absence of context for your sentiment, I'll just go for it: Flush the bastards!

    Alcohol- beware.

I would not agree to the "every single person...ends up getting another addiction". Just because "never" and "always" are words to be wary of. It doesn't have to be a bad addiction people get addicted to bicycling and skydiving and eating healthy and other aspects of life being addicted to something is not always a bad thing... Although I like really hate CrossFit Fanatics lol whoa.. wait.. why you hatin on crossfitters?

    GoFundMe accounts?

BTW, I wouldn't think any less of anyone using a gofundme acct.. like others said, its up to the giver if they want to give. I've donated to some.. recently a friend whose dog needed emergency surgery.. I've been there.

    When did you start exercising?

@@JamieLogical Slight jogging for me was 3.5-4 mph on the treadmill.. in bursts of maybe 30 seconds or so.. But yea.. the only thing he didn't want me doing was weightlifting, but he said as long as I felt ok.. what hurt me was going for my 3 or 4 week checkup and being 280 (34 pounds lost by then) and him telling me to start doing longer running distances and the NUT saying, Doc, this girl CAN'T run at 280 POUNDS! I was like, um, maam, I can.. do.. and will.. so...

    When did you start exercising?

I was walking around the hospital the day of and after surgery. 3 days post op I was walking on the treadmill.. a week later (about) slight jogging.. 2 weeks post, spin class.. 4 weeks post light weightlifting and 6 weeks post, back to full movement.. but I was very active pre-surgery.

    GoFundMe accounts?

Hey OP! Glad you are getting your surgery! Keep us updated!

    What's your workout routine?

I don't really have a "schedule".. I go either once or twice day. Either the gym, or at home.. I run a lot.. I do weights.. I cycle.. I try to get it in whenever I can. Some days I run at lunch and weight train at night..

I have always worked out, so I was walking when I got home from surgery. I was jogging at 4 days post op, and I think I went back to spinning 2 weeks after with light weights. At a month out I was back to my full schedule, with mild weights.. back to heavy weightlifting at 6 weeks.

    How sad is this?

I got rid of cable.. Helps a lot actually..
  23. Chrystee

I have been to gym everyday and still in stall!

I work out a LOT. I've noticed a pattern to my body.. stall for about 2.5 weeks, then drop a bunch of weight (5 pounds) then stall again.. During the stall though, I am definitely losing inches.
  24. Chrystee

    Should I scale back?

If you are going to be increasing in distance and in speed.. you need lots of stretching.. Do you do yoga? I would recommend at least one yoga workout a week..
