Agree.. a GOOD personal trainer won't make you move to fast, or do anything that doesn't feel right. Look for someone with credentials..

Daily Meal Ideas for WLS 8+ Months Out
Chrystee replied to Katnroyal's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
She's the nut at my surgeons office. And when she said between 600-800 calories she said that was the average. I emailed the other nut to get her take on it because some days I could eat way more but feel bad going over 800 calories. All these responses make me feel better though, so I do appreciate them! Depends on where you are in size and post op surgery. I'm 11 months out, and pretty much holding steady.. I lose best when I reach 80-90 protein grams a day, and lower calorie. And I work out almost every single day, at least 60-90 minutes a day, and I'm averaging about 1000 calories a day. When I eat more, I stall.. and carbs count too. -
Did anyone's spouse lose attractiveness when they got close to goal?
Chrystee replied to Chrystee's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
It has actually been a bit later lately, maybe since he opened up about still being attracted to BBW.. -
www.bodybuilding.com is a great resource and there are lots of plans on there also. I think its very beneficial to get a personal trainer to help you get correct form, as well.

The loss is definitely slower.. I'm losing about 5 pounds a month now, for the past couple. I'm ok with that, as long as I still keep losing. I'm down 120 overall, and about 116-117 since surgery. I have about 37 pounds to reach my personal goal. One more month for our year surgiversary!

What can I do with...Brussels Sprouts?
Chrystee replied to Inner Surfer Girl's topic in Regular foods (stage 4)
I normally will cook 2-3 slices of bacon in a pan, then take the bacon out, and sauté onions and garlic in the bacon grease.. then add the halved sprouts in the pan.. turn the heat down and let it cook for a bit and then finish up roasting in the oven. Then crush up the bacon into the pan at the end. Even my 2 and 8 year old love them. -

Aww.. That is great. That is good to know.. I'm feeling the same. I've ALWAYS said no way, no implants.. I still feel like I have plenty of boob tho.. but we will see.. I'm starting to understand why people get them tho. -
I now get the plain Fage 2% yogurt cups. They are 180 cals, 20 grams Protein, and about 6/8 carbs. I add blueberries to mine. I also like the 0% total cups, 100 calories, 18 grams protein and 7 carbs.. but I prefer the 2%. I used to like the light and fit, and the triple 0's, but the plain fage has nothing in them.

Did anyone's spouse lose attractiveness when they got close to goal?
Chrystee replied to Chrystee's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
yes! I was always big too, and I'm about 30 pounds lighter than when we met.. The only difference is he always liked it when I was big.. but I FELT unattractive physically and mentally. I think curves are great.. and beautiful.. but not just all out fat. -
I have noticed lately that men open the door for me (or RUN out of their way to get the door for me).. Or just smile at me, or make small talk.. Even women seem to be nicer to be lately.. Just wondered if anyone else noticed going from pretty much invisible to a little more attention at a certain point of their weight loss..

So do you have an update? I hovered on 200.2 - and over for weeks before I finally hit 197 all of a sudden!

You know... that's so nice.. but that sure makes me feel kind of bad. That really wasn't the question, or point of my post.. but I'm honestly glad for those of you whose relationship hasn't changed at all. Maybe he just doesn't really love me. -
Did anyone's spouse lose attractiveness when they got close to goal?
Chrystee replied to Chrystee's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
We've been married since I was 19 and he was 21.. and we have now been married 16 years. We were married 7 years before our first son was born. Before we met, he was with his ex for 6 years. He met her at about a size 14/16.. about where I am now.. and she lost down to a size 4 and went a bit crazy, cheating on him a few times. I know that is where his insecurity lies.. However, I can't help if he is attracted to larger women, although he told me he is still attracted to me, but he does wish I wouldn't lose anymore weight, but I wouldn't be happy with that. I told him the other day that he is so unemotionally supportive. He mostly always has been.. Now I notice when I get compliments it really makes me feel good/attractive. I've never dealt with that.. I've NEVER felt pretty.. so now I'm just questioning.. why can't he do those things too! He should be saying those things to me. Also, he isn't very overweight.. He's fluctuated 50ish pounds.. if he lost 40 pounds right now, he'd be at a very good weight for him, and he loses it with running.. -

When we met, I was probably 20-30 pounds heavier than I am now.. actually maybe a little more than that.. -
@@xochtlem I was trying to send you a message and its not working.. How exciting!! I absolutely LOVE Dr. Tran.. who did you see for NUT? Evelyn? Everyone is super nice there, and all the staff in the hospital was WONDERFUL! That is really soon! Keep me updated on everything! I just went last week for my check up, and I go back in May.. and he said I could meet with plastics and thinks my tummy tuck and breast lift might be covered by insurance since I'm having rashes!

That looks AMAZING. I have federal Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I'm having rashes under my stomach, and he is documenting that.. and under my breasts.. and pain in my breast from flopping while running! You getting boobs too? HA, just kidding. My friend used Dr. Sauceda, and she showed me ALL her pics, and she looks AMAZING. -
Weren't you just complaining about being too skinny and not being able to get enough food down?

Energy levels after your operation
Chrystee replied to LizzieP's topic in Mini Gastric Bypass Surgery Forum

Finally! Plastics time! Tell me everything!
Chrystee replied to Elode's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Good timing. My surgeon just told me on Monday that at my next appointment in May, I could make an appointment with the plastic surgeon, and that it takes a couple months for approval, but he believes that insurance will pay for my tummy tuck and breast lift, because I'm having rashes and pain when exercising (woop).. and he said, if I wanted augmentation, I could add that in, or arms done.. since insurance is paying for everything else, it will be significantly cheaper. So I'm going to see what they say.. but I'm not wanting my boobs augmented, just lifted.. and I want my arms done, I think.. I want thighs done too, but I don't think I'll be able to get all that done at once..
