  1. I've been noticing this as well! They told me I would drink water from a little medicine cup. Maybe you could use one and try to do that. I drink a lot of water.. never any sodas! Sometimes coffee and hot tea.. so I get lots of water in..

    Liquid diet

I haven't had surgery yet.. but my sheet says the clear stuff is 24 hours, and then for 2 weeks, you have clear broth, high Protein drinks and health wise protein Soups. I also have a list of high protein sources: Optisource Isopure pure protein atkins advantage, unjury powder designer whey.. but so many of them say different things!

    Liquid diet

That should say dissolvable protein. I believe Unjury makes it.
  4. Ditch that muffin.. eat a piece of chicken with your eggs.. or some other Protein. Herbal teas are good to me, try those. That is hectic. I can't even imagine a 3 hour commute.. the best idea then is to make one day your food prep day, and pack it all for the week. so all you have to do is grab everything and go. oh, and as far as Water.. try making bone broth and drinking that..
  5. I can't wait! I used to be a size 7 when I was about 16. Now I'm an 8.5.

You need protein. If you can't have shakes, they have some dissolvable that you can put into your broth..
  7. Mine is also March 18th. Did they not tell you before hand?

    March 2015 Surgery!

Hey all, I'm having surgery March 18th and started my pre-op diet today. I can have 2 Meal Replacement drinks, 1 Protein Drinks, non chunky Soup, broth, sugar free Jello, sugar free popsicles, and Water.
  9. We are surgery twins.
  10. Well, their methods aren't that great either.. They demoralize people on their show, and how safe are they? It cannot be safe to go from no exercise to exercising 20 hours a day..
  11. Starting my liquids tomorrow! Surgery March 18!
  12. My surgery is March 18th! Finally!
  13. I don't have the answer.. but once you are back to a normal calorie range (i.e. not under 1000calories a day) you should really be absorbing it through food (with the sleeve).. That's my own perception.
  14. "I have to have surgery in 2 weeks. I plan on being off 6 days, then can come back after" "Surgery? Why? What surgery?" "I would rather not discuss it"
  15. This is a real topic, cause I've read a few articles about being on the other side and the downsides to being fit and thin. I'm going to be uncomfortable with comments.. I know I am fat for a couple reasons.. one of them so that I don't get attention.
  16. Could very well be hormones.. when we lose weight, stored up hormones are released (estrogen).

    Is it just me

I started the process in September.. and the waiting is killing me.. but I do think its a good thing.
  19. I haven't done that great on the pre-op diet. I have two more NUT visits. I've lost about 10 pounds total since September.. Am I going to fail at the sleeve? I know what to do, and how to do it. I exercise a lot.. but I find myself eating things I'm not supposed to.. does this mean I can even succeed with the sleeve?
  20. I'm just on the 6 month required nutrition plan. It has definitely been eye opening. I notice that I am a very emotional eater and eating definitely affects my moods.. I just keep messing up, although I am staying the course. I've always been good with exercise, I actually exercise a lot.. its just the portions.. and then.. my nutritionist advised that I should go for the RNY.. which threw me for a loop because I've been planning the sleeve the whole time. I'm just wondering if this will make a difference, because I'm terrified I go through all this and end up back at at square one in a few years. I want this weight gone.. but I'm just always hungry! Massive appetite.. but learning to question whether i'm really hungry, or am I just bored.. or emotional.. or PMSing.. and of course all the stress from getting ready for th surgery doesn't help either! It is helpful to see people who struggled that have been successful though. Now I just need to decide.. do I go the full monty with the RNY or stick with the sleeve.
  21. Right now I'm watching Being Human.. I also loved The Borgia's.. not the Netflix version, but the showtime version.
