How many incisions do you have? I have 7! Don't know why so many!
Chrystee replied to Lbsgonzo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have 6 total.. with one right on top of my belly button, but not through it. -
Call the Bariatrics police!
Chrystee replied to jackiemc1987's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree.. I guess I'm not even sure why you would post the thread then? Especially with the title? You knew people would say something to you.. you knew it would illicit remarks and stir the pot.. I don't really get it. -
I can also eat salad.. I can pretty much eat everything. I had noodles and I threw up. Remember this is a tool.

@@sassycas45 Ugh, me too... and it was super tender.. tasted so good going down, but hurt for a long time after. I wont do it again.. Oddly enough.. chipotle's steak was fine.
-
I don't care for quest bars myself.. I never messed with things like oatmeal.. I'm concerned about carb count, as i'm supposed to keep carbs low. How are you cooking your Proteins? I can't do steak, its too rough, and if I cook my chicken too well done. But moist chicken and fish are perfect.. However, all sleeves are different.. you will get there..

You are doing great.. When I was about 4 weeks out and stalled, my Nut suggested I needed at least 800 calories a day. Everyone is right.. Girl, you are working this!! You have 40 pounds to get to goal.. and you are less than 3 months out! If this is your first stall, then you are fortunate, because I had my first at 3 weeks.. I believe my next is at 3 months.. Get your calories in.
-
I'm the same really. I can eat a piece of cake.. I can drink my shake now. Just remember your rules.. Low carb/low sugar, eat slowly. protein first, veggies, then carbs.. You started at 231? 25 pounds is a great loss!
-
How far out are you? I've been on soft foods for over a month. Take it slow. a bite or two. Remember you have to eat slowly. If you can't tolerate soft yet, a granola bar will be awhile.. remember granola bars are usually high in sugar/carbs..

Time off work for recovery
Chrystee replied to ThruChristICan's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I was sleeved, and I took 3 days of sick leave and worked at home the next 2 weeks. Honestly, I could have returned in 1 week. -
How much are you intaking? My Nut told me I needed 800-1000 at my 4 week appt.. I thought it was impossible too. I was also netting a negative caloric intake..
-
I didn't lose a pound in 22 days during my first stall.. you've lost 7 pounds in 3 weeks.. that isn't a stall.. that's average weight loss.. I was told to expect 8-10 pounds a month, so you are doing great! Just keep it up..

Um, probably because she has not had any nutrition in her stomach in 6 weeks!! I'm praying for her! -
I didn't lose anything for 22 days during my week 3 post stall! I felt the same.. frustration, anger.. feeling like I was a failure.. but I just kept going.. I had my Doctor appointment and my Nut said it was time to add calories and go up to 800-1000 a day.. that felt like such a challenge to get it in, but after about a week, it started moving again!
-
Protein shakes, for sure! Also yogurt, and cottage cheese were my staples!

The 3 week stall is VERY REAL!
Chrystee replied to Brenew's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

1 week post fear I may be losing too fast

I thought you were talking to me because you quoted my post. Just like I quoted your post you knew I was talking to you. Generally when you quote someones post you are usually referring to them and not the OP. Sorry, maybe I have just been on Forums too long, lol. I run a tech forum with 10,000+ users and we are very picky about the way we quote and direct messages. My bad! But yes, we are saying the same thing I replied cause you quoted my post first.. and sort of seemed like you were disagreeing with me, so I was confused in the first place. Oh no, I was not disagreeing with you at all. I was just pointing out that the rate of decline will be different for each person. I was agreeing with you. The first line of my post was "This is true." Cant agree with someone any more than that now can you Alright. -
