Personal Style -- How will I dress as a thin woman?
Chrystee replied to Thinside's topic in The Gals' Room
Eh, I work for the Government.. I have a sleeve tattoo that I'm working on my right arm.. Some people dress up, some wear jeans and tshirts every day.. I would stand out, but I could still look good. -

Really, What is the Straight Skinny Post-Op?
Chrystee replied to Sunshine3073's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
1. True/False: My doctor says my taste buds may change after surgery and foods I love now I may not like. It depends.. I can't stand really sweet foods anymore, and I was a BIG sweets eater. Some people don't tho. One thing I can stand is smelling food after I'm full. Makes me want to barf. 2. Will my appetite REALLY go away? Will the feeling of being hungry all the time disappear? Depends on what I eat.. carbs? nope.. I am hungry not long after. Protein? yes.. I'm full quick.. 3 bites and i'm done and full for long time. 3. I'm totally addicted to food. While I have been able to mostly control it over the past 3 months, there are times when I have NO WILLPOWER and stop at Culver's on the way home from work for a big, greasy double cheeseburger and a soda! Will I be able to break this after the surgery? This is mental hunger that you have to break. No more soda after surgery.. and you might be able to get the burger, eat a couple bites (no bread) and be done. the burger part is ok for you. but you might not be able to tolerate burger, so again.. it depends. -
This sucks, but you deserve someone who wants to be intimate with you, and is willing to give back to you sexually. She can still be a friend.. she could end up still being best friends with you. I wish you good luck.

Body image at 75 pounds down.....
Chrystee replied to alexsisv's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh I know what you mean.. I'm still 231 pounds.. so I'm still "fat" even though sometimes I feel "skinny" but I can still feel the fat looks. -
Does anyone know how many calories you burn doing hot yoga?
Chrystee replied to OKCPirate's topic in Fitness & Exercise
That's fantastic.. I never burned that much, maybe 3-400.. even really large.. -
Psych eval was um...
Chrystee replied to Sajijoma's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
really? I wonder how bad their appts were to not pass based on how bad mine was and did? Probably cause you aren't crazy. LOL. I think you were just super nervous which sometimes puts us way out of our comfort zones. -

Chrystee replied to sbg224's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The dreaded 3 week weight loss stall! I went through the same thing, and had no loss for 22 days.. It will go! Now I'm down 80! -
Psych eval was um...
Chrystee replied to Sajijoma's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
that's great.. and I've seen a few people say they didn't pass! -
I know people who have struggled with 50 pounds for years.. Its still hard, whether you have a little or a lot to lose, when you can't lose it.. I would probably just say something polite about how busy I am and sorry I need to get back to work. However.. I totally understand!! My Best friend bitches about her weight, but eats TERRIBLY.. carbs.. soda.. etc.. never works out.. I've invited her for years to work out with me.. and then once in awhile, she's going to work out with some people from work.. like.. whats wrong with me? The reason is.. she ain't gonna do it! And here I struggle with over 100+ pounds to lose, eat right, exercise and can't lose 5 pounds (pre surgery) to save my life!

@@amchurch12000 I had mine out last Monday, and went back to the gym today and did crossfit.. So you are probably ok.. I hear you I'm down to a 16 from a tight 26 and sometimes I can't see it, till I look at pics.. Keep your chin up. You don't want crepes.. then don't eat them! YOU have a choice.

2 Weeks Post-Op Stall?
Chrystee replied to marisarose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There's no way you are eating too many calories. Your body is in shock mode. I stalled at 3 weeks for 22 days.. Not one pound lost.. and 5 months post-op I'm down 77 pounds. Just keep getting in your Protein, Water, and walk when you can. -
You've lost 69 pounds.. and you have 70 to go.. that's 50% of your excess weight, so you are not a failure.. Stalls will come.. You know what you need to do.. You still have to work for this.. Do you work out? Increase work outs.. Do you WANT to go back there? Cause you can and will gain the weight back.. Are you tracking your caloric intake? You aren't going to gain back weight on 800-1000 calories.. but as the junk increases so does the calories.. You CAN do this. Do the eating tour.. but make healthy choices.. have seafood, its healthy.. have crabs.. salad.. etc. if Hubs gets a bowl of cream of crab Soup, have a bite.. You CAN DO THIS. I've also had junk. Had a piece of cake for a going away yesterday.. so I need this pep talk just as much. I think the biggest thing we don't realize is that its STILL WORK! Let's go girl.. We've got this!! Also, what part of Maryland are you in? I'm in Southern MD.

Personal Style -- How will I dress as a thin woman?

Awesome because I can't squeeze my runner calves into skinny jeans unless they are two sizes too big for the rest of me! You need ones that have lycra in them.. -

Dresses for me! I used to hate them, cause I hated my legs.. or how it fit.. or looked.. I love retro style dresses.. -
funny, but serious, female question...lol
Chrystee replied to glitterpockets's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've went from a 46 DDD to a 40DDD with 77 pounds loss.. but they are def. more like tube socks.. not as full now. However, my friend said weight lifting, lots of chest exercises helped her a lot (she had RNY). I would be fine with a B or C! I want a lift.. no implants, just perky. -
Feeling full or what?
Chrystee replied to marisarose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Slow when you eat. Take a small bite, put down your fork.. make yourself really chew well, and wait until its all they way down. before trying another bite. -
Sweats Immediately After Eating
Chrystee replied to Cognorati001's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would keep a diary of when it happens and what did you just eat.. Maybe too much sugar, not enough protein. I get cold after eating.. -
My surgeon encouraged me to walk as much as possible as soon as I had my surgery, so after I got home, I was in the gym walking on the treadmill.. not fast.. 2.1 but for 30 mins at a time.. 3 days later I was getting faster... a week later I was back to jogging and spin, and 3 weeks later back to lightly lifting, running, and on my bike.. After 4 weeks, back to heavy lifting, and all other activitiy.
