  1. Better yet.. See if you have any bariatric groups around.
  2. Honestly, its a big waste of money.. There are plenty of free apps you can use to track your macros. Spend the money on a trainer and a bariatric nutrionist instead or maybe a counselour (but you don't need that either). Low carb is the way.. Or lower carb. No sugar.. veggies and meat.
  3. Good luck with that. Totally new woman. Crazy cause I did this level of activity before surgery, but just could not lose.
  4. Not as much as I was.. Only cause I quit my box $$$. However I'm working on my garage gym and level 1 certification.. I also have been running and cycling a lot.. While it's warm.
  5. Here are my before and during pics.. First pic was a year ago, on a girls trip on a cruise. Second pic was at Christmas 2014. I had been doing crossfit for 6 months at that point.. completing my pre-op tests. third and fourth were last night, 85 pounds down.
  6. Do you have a before picture? You look amazing!

    Struggling with no carbs

Are you tracking? Maybe you can add a little sweet potato in for a complex carb. I stay under 50 a day.

    Nobody said anything

I really didn't get any.. "hey.. whats different" comments until closer to 60 pounds lost.

    Stalled progress.

Stalls happen. You might have to tweak your calorie intake.. look at your exercise regime.. look at the foods you are eating.. check your vitamin intake.. but they happen. If you are eating 700 calories a day, you'll lose eventually.. you probably need to increase calories to 800-1000.. You should eating 3 solid meals by now, and maybe 1-2 protein drinks. Check your protein level, are you close to 100 grams a day? Eat protein, not sugar.
  10. Mine was 3/18. Down almost 85, with about 69 pounds to go.. Feeling great!

    Jogging post-op

If you have never ran before, you need to take it slow. Start by walking, then walking faster.. getting to a power walk. Eventually begin adding in 30 seconds of jogging with 2 minutes or so of walking and do that for 20 minutes... after that gets comfortable you can increase your jogging time..

    leggings ARE pants!

I still think they aren't pants! LOL. Those are cute tho..
  15. someone told me you can still get stones, even if the gallbladder is removed.. I hope she gets better soon!
  16. I weigh every day.. sometimes twice.. I'm obsessive. HAH. In the beginning it bothered me if I was up a pound.. now that I'm my lowest weight in my adult life, it doesn't bother me at all.

    Pretty fantastic NSV's

Funny, I'm the opposite with Jackets! I always felt the bulked me up more.. and I used to be so hot. I want to wear cute business jackets to work.. or for important meetings, or interviews.. and hopefully I will, I'm broad shouldered, so it may not work for me.. And I HATED wearing a coat/jacket in the car, cause it was already tight.. it will be nice to be able to wear one in the car!!

My Insurance covered the whole thing, but it could vary.

    Sleep study

About 11 years ago, I tested for sleep apnea, and found out I did too. You will probably have to start the machine before surgery. I loved it, felt SO much better.. well, I had lost weight and my apnea got a lot better, then I had to get a restudy before surgery, and found it had went away enough that I don't need the machine anymore. I also work out really heavy, and I really believe that makes a difference.
  20. Nice! This was a whole year ago.. Look where you could be in a year!
  21. Just started my process, and I have to do 3 months of a medically supervised diet. My first appt is Oct. 17th for that, but I saw my surgeon last Tuesday, so the ball has started rolling.. I have a lot of Dr. Appts coming up!
  22. Have them check her gallbladder.. I was having a lot of nausea too, just thought it was related to surgery..
  23. Pre-op? At least an hour a day.. for a couple days post I took it easy, but walked.. by a week I was back to running, and light weights.. week 2 back to spinning, and by 4 weeks post op I was back to biking, running, spinning, crossfit and heavy weights. But good workouts pre surgery will help your body bounce back.
  24. Cool to come back and see where I started.. 84 pounds later..
