    Its little tweaks and tricks I've learned over the years, not really proper fit. You also may just be putting too much pressure on your wrists/arms.. which will get better as your core gets tighter.

    My hands went numb for awhile, you can get your handlebars raised at a curve and that may help.

    You may have to adjust where you attach. I think you can move them forward or backward, by adjusting them. I like mine back a bit more. You can also be not keeping your feet straight, it should feel as though you are scraping mud off of your shoe when you pedal.. (you can have your toe pointing down too far, or your heel pointing down too far).

    When you move your foot around to the 3 o clock position it should be almost about 90 degree bend in your foot.. Your knees shouldn't be going over your toe or you need to raise it.. How's your foot position? I find a more center my foot is on the pedal, more my quads and hams hurt. The more of my upper part of my foot, the more I feel it in my calves. Are you stretching?

    I had the issue on the outside of my shins.. Best thing I ever did was get a minimal sole shoe. To correct my gait and also to strengthen the muscles in my feet.. People think I'm crazy.. But I did this after my flat footed husband discovered thin soled shoes and it corrected the intense pain he was having in his feet from fallen arches. He runs also and no longer has pain at all. He thought he would have to get surgery on his feet.

  9. Ran 2.54 miles at lunch today. My best time, and we (the dogs and I) ran almost the full time without stopping! I feel amazing! I have tears completing things I only dreamed about doing.

      That is an amazing feeling! I love run in my first goal is a 5k!

    I don't usually drink anything other than Water, but after a particularly hard and very hot (over 90 degrees and 20 miles) ride last week, I HAD to stop and get a Gatorade, and they had no G2.. So I just had reg. Gatorade. I drank 1/2 the bottle, but I really did need it. So, I'm thinking you could water down the Gatorade maybe. Pedialyte is also actually really good for replenishing and you absorb it really fast. But at the mileage that you are doing now, you really shouldn't need it. Are you drinking enough water and eating a high Protein snack about an hour before? Caffeine can actually dehydrate you, so I would leave that out before or during a ride.

    Yes, you are going to feel aches and pains like that. 3 times a day for 10 minutes is really great, and will help.. eventually you can increase it to 3 times a day for 15.. then 20.. then twice a day for 30 mins each.. every little bit will help.

    Now you can start the Couch to 10k.. Or just keep going on your 5k and work on improving your time. I love cycling.. so maybe you can start that.. Lifting weights and doing squats will also improve your 5k time.

    Nice! I need to get back to swimming.. My son swims in the winter, so I will be joining him while he has practice.

  18. They brought my husband in too soon he said.. He said I looked so pale and tired like death.. and it made him upset. The other worst is having my gallbladder fail and removed. That pain after gallbladder surgery was worse than my sleeve surgery!

    I love massage! I'm going next week, can't wait! I've had some that talk, and some that don't. My favorite lady talks a little, until I stop being chatty, then is quiet.. but she remembers everything!

  23. 12 pounds to go to hit 100 pounds lost.. Weight loss has slowed down a bit.. Time to ramp it up!!

    I also love the mapmyrun/mapmyride app.. LOVE IT. There are sponsored challenges on there.. being in the top 2-5% of everyone in a challenge pushes me so hard.. I also love seeing what everyone is doing to be active.. If anyone else uses the app, please let me know and I will add you.
