I too am hoping and praying for a January date. I just had my 3rd of 6 months worth of physician supervised appointments today. I had my endoscopy done last week along with chest x-ray, EKG, and blood work. The only things I have left to do now are 2 blood tests, my personal letter, 1 psych eval appt., 1 dietitian appt., 2 exercise classes, and my final doctor visit in December. I don't mind all the hoops that I have to jump through, but the anxiety from waiting is BRUTAL!!!

Hi and welcome to the forums. I am also very new here (just into my 3rd month of pre-op dieting), and I have found these forums to be encouraging, inspiring, and extremely motivating. I have found myself coming here more frequently every day just to remind myself of all the successes and hope that this journey brings. Hello everyone, I am new to BP and I'm just getting myself acclimated to the site. I am 3 months into my 6 month physician supervised diet, and time seems to be moving so slow. I have tons and tons of questions and I've been reading through a lot of the threads here, and getting a lot of good ideas and advice. Is there anyone else here that is going through the 6 month process? How are you dealing with the long wait time? I'm really looking forward to participating on this site, because I really don't want anyone to know what I'm doing other than my daughter who is my support.

Thanks Beth! I've had quite a few different appointments, and I guess I just haven't looked at it that way. Maybe I should start looking forward to all these upcoming appointments. I don't have any this coming week, but I have an endoscopy scheduled for the 24th. I'm sure I'll start to feel better now that I have someplace I can come and talk about things with people who totally understand what I'm going through. Thanks for the kind words of support... I'm really glad that someone asked this question. I am in the very early stages of my pre-op journey (3rd month of physician supervised dieting, and I strongly feel that I don't want to tell anyone. My daughter is the only person that knows my plans. I have a good friend that got sleeved 2 years ago, and he posted his entire journey from day one until now on Facebook. I asked him why he felt the need to tell the world about every step along the way, and he said that he really needed the "good job, you look great, etc.", that he was getting from everybody. In a way I totally understand because I'm sure that everyone wants to hear those "feel good" comments, but I just don't want to be judged for making the decisions that I've made. I just recently joined this site, and I think I'm more comfortable discussing things here than I ever would be anywhere else. This has been a very conflicting topic to me.
