My body feels awful...
readyforitnow replied to Overcomer_Rev1211's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I found to begin with just skim milk with a little unflavored protein powder worked then after a couple of days I was able to drink the full protein shakes. Hang in there. -

I'm so sorry, I believe there is a reason for everything even if we don't understand at the time. My prayers are with you. -

readyforitnow replied to readyforitnow's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What a heck of a day. I ended up having to do a second pre op appt as my doctors office changed the location of my surgery due to my insulin pump. Everything is still on, thank goodness. Few more hours???? -

I am the same way. It's killing me!!!!

I started the diet yesterday. Yesterday wasn't so bad. I'm starving today but no cheats. Will this get any easier?
-
So my employer is giving me a hard time about taking two weeks off for surgery. They said I didn't give them 30 days notice of "elective" surgery. I've been with my employer 20 years. Go figure!!! I was thinking if my doctor will approve going back in just 1 week. I have a very stressful job but it is a desk job. If I do this, what should I expect? How am I going to feel if no complications arise?

Has anyone else had insurance deny you for years, so you just paid out of pocket?
readyforitnow replied to wife4life's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well my insurance company does not offer the coverage so I decided to pay for it myself. I was going to go to Mexico but found somewhere in MC where I could get it done for 12,500 which was a price I could do for myself. October 28th will be my date. -

New group for oct sleevers
readyforitnow replied to happymama2014's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Oct 28th. I wasn't nervous but starting to get that way as time goes by. I will be out of town in a conference the week before and on all liquids. That kinda scares me. -

Good luck. -
I should know next week my surgery date. I'm not that nervous about the surgery itself but I am nervous about how it will be with my diabetes. Are any of you type 1 and how did it go. Did you have many drops? Any advice
