  1. I am 62 and am happy with having had surgery so to the "too old" question I say NO WAY. You are still young and deserve a healthier life. You will learn to sip sip and sip some more. You will not be abel to gulp without consequences so you will learn LOL. I did not experience a lot of pain at all, soreness and yes I walked immediately as I was taken to my room after a few hours in recovery. I know being older I had a higher chance of complication so I decided beforehand to do everything and anything the dr ordered and i did. I worked for me. I am one month and change out of surgery and feel better than I had in a long time. Physically and emotionally, I feel I took one of the most important steps in my life and have not regretted it a single minute. Do not concern yourself with what others think! Say what feels comfortable to you right now. I am having a hernia repaired, I need to have a "woman's surgery" if he is a male boss that will keep him from asking more, I am having a minor stomach procedure, etc anything really. Keep this about you and your health and focus on yourself. Everything else is secondary.
  2. I do not have any problems with my sleeve either but I was a virgin sleeve. Maybe the revisions are just a bit harder to recover form . Call your doctor's office is it what you are eating or how you are eating? Maybe it is too soon for certain foods.
  3. I am losing them slowly and I like having them smaller. They have been in the way for too many years! I will not get any work done as I am not in the age to have big perky boobs so I will deal with the new ones once I see what I am left with.

    REGRETS IN LIFE

I do not know what age you are but as I got older my perspective as to what is worthwhile changed. When you look back on your life you will see what amazing things you did do , maybe not award worthy or what other's may consider spectacular but things that enriched your life. When you lose weight after your surgery you will be able to enjoy even more of these worthwhile but non spectacular things with your loved ones. Simple but enormous at the same time. Congratulate yourself for wanting to change and committing to a new life style but also embrace who you are now and what you have done.
  5. HI, I had surgery with Dr. Wilhelmy and am happy to share my experience. This is what I posted on another forum. I am retired and live part of the year in Baja Mexico. I chose to have my surgery done at Almater Hospital with Dr. Wilhelmy and spend more for better care. I have been to clinics and smaller hospitals while here in Mexico and I did not want my surgery to take place in one of them. I wanted a proper hospital with all the credentials and specialist on site. I wanted to be in a safe place from the get go and recover there too. I did not want to recover at a hotel either. I was prepared to pay more because having worked 25 years in the medical field I know what can go wrong if you do not follow protocol. While it is true that certain things are done differently than in the US and I was prepared for that I can say that the care that I got from the staff at Almater hospital and all the doctors and staff at Mexicali Bariatric Center was one of the best in my life. The nurses and doctors are attentive and caring. I saw Dr. Wilhelmy daily and Dr. Beltran and Dr Campos visited me daily as well. Everything I had read about them was true! I am 62 years young and want to live much longer. Do not sell yourself short and go with the best! You deserve it!
