My surgeon said 20 pounds is average at 4 weeks. I dont think I will get close to 20 but I could be happy with 16, lol. -

Tamicia You will feel a lot better once you start having the more substantial foods tomorrow. I felt the same as you did on liquids. Tomorrow I will be 3 weeks out but my doc doesn't want me eating potatoes of any kind nor cream of wheat or oatmeal. Ive been having eggs, tuna, chicken plus my usual liquids. -

Kpar, so liquids for so long? I made home made chicken soup and strained it for the broth. It was a change and tasted like real food. -

Kya, I was on liquids for 2 weeks. Sue, did the doc say the infection was from you being allergic? Chellede, I feel like I will never be thin either. The last time I weighed under 150 was 28 years ago. I am praying it works :-) -

Thanks guys on the calorie and weight loss info. My incisions look good but the area where they initially tried to start the iv looks like I was in a fight with Mohamed Ali, and lost, lol. -

Chellede, you are too funny, lol. Ask your doctor if the is a certain amount of calories we should be consuming to promote weight loss please. I heard if you dont take in enough calories you may not lose. Just curious. My incisions stopped itching at abut 2 weeks when the strips came off. I have very little soreness now. I have to remind myself thT I just had major surgery :-) -
