Peekboo replied to Jen - a work in progress's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The fist few days of soft and puree I tried a scrambled egg with cheese then pintos and cheese from taco bell that night. I had no problems. I was able to eat almost one egg and most of the beans that night. -

Susan I use the Carabas recipe for lentils and sausage soup then bled it. Dont e the hot Italian sausage at this point. It taste awesome. I didn't have to blend it but it's great that wat too. Use chicken broth instead of the meat for the rich flavor. -

I ask my doctor about this because it's seeing so many people have trouble getting in even small sips. I was concerned maybe they really didn't sleeve me, lol. He said those folks have more swelling inside their sleeve. I didnt, thank goodness and things have gone smoothly for me. I have been able to get all my protein and liquids in since day 4 or 5. -

Elturner I was sleeved on the 7th as well and haven't loss a great deal either. Im just trying to stay positive because I know im following the rules and that we all lose differently. It seems most people have lost in there first week what I lost in 3 weeks. We will support each other and keep moving ahead ok? Are you going to the bathroom like you should? And not getting too much sodium? Those broths and creamed soups can be very high in sodium and make you retain fluid. Hang in there.:-) -

Slareau, I love the champion chocolate brownie protein powder from vitamin world and the vanilla unjury powder. Both have 22 grams of protein the add milk to make it 30.
