My highest weight was 458, I lost down to 406 before surgery on 9/3, now I am 369. Can't wait to be out of these 300's!

Pureed stage
Rayanna Barker replied to XForeverYoursX's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just started and last night I had about 3oz of fajita chicken, some pico...(tomato, onion, cilantro, and peppers) a little cheese and a tablespoon of sour cream and blended it up....it was amazing. Mostly Protein and veggies and a little sour cream to make it puree....but it was awesome...it made about 4 or 5 oz....so it lasted a couple meals. -
looking for buddies who had 200+ to lose
Rayanna Barker replied to Rach8610's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My surgery was last wednesday and I started at 402 the day of surgery so I am looking at losing well over 200 pounds as well. I really thought it would be harder after surgery but so far, I feel great. We are really close in surgery date so we should keep up with eachother...might help to have a buddy doing things at the same time. -
Post op 6 days
Rayanna Barker replied to lisalaufenberg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery day was the 3rd as well and I was actually in the hospital for 2 extra nights due to nausea. Part of the problem could be WHAT you are eating. You should be on FULL liquids until about your 14th day after surgery, nothing with chunks, it could be irritating your stomach, it's still healing in there so smooth liquid is going to go thru easy and pass right to the intestines. Other food that has to be broken down will have to sit in the stomach and gastric juices might be irritating it. At the hospital they were giving me broth and popsicles, none of it was staying down, once they moved me to a thicker cream of chicken Soup and yogurt things stayed down....so right now, I am kinda living on cream of chicken soup...strained and yogurt without fruit. My Dr. gave me a great book showing what you should be eating when, if you like I can scan it and send it to you. Good Luck! -
Wanted: September Sleevers!
Rayanna Barker replied to Liberianne_Gal's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, just had my surgery on September 3rd. Having a little trouble adjusting, my sleeping is way out of whack and I am getting hungry in the middle of the night which NEVER happened before...anyone else post-op having this issue?? -
Here are a few guidelines I was given by my doctor to help know when it's ok to eat what after surgery. I hope this will be as helpful to others as it has been for me so far.
