I was banded on Dec. 21. I have had two fills. I feel like I need another one but the surgeon disagrees since I am losing more than the average per month. I do not feel any type of restriction but have not really tested to see how much can go down. I just try to stick to what I've been told I should be eating. Since the Dec. banding I'm down 62 pounds. I am trying to be good but do not really feel restriction so some days are better than others. He will not do another fill until I've stopped losing for a few weeks.

I was banded Dec 21st. I do not have stitches and my surgeon did not restrict any of my activities--just wondering, how soon after the bandings were you guys able to take a bath? I have showered till my heart content but I really just want a nice long soak in the tub with bubbles.

My left side is where the placed the port. It does not hurt hurt. It just tugs sometimes or twinges momentarily. I can def. tell something is there and things inside are different. I haven't taken any pain meds for 2 days though if that helps to answers the pain question.

Surgeries The Week Of December 17
msunshne replied to nhlapband's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on the 21st. I lost 19 pounds during my 2 week liquid but haven't really lost anything since. It will come off I'm sure (I hope). My problem was as soon as I woke up in the surgery recovery room, I got my period. Think about all the surgery aches and pains and on top PMS and cramps. It wasn't that bad though, I got pain medication during my night stay and took a bit more the day I got home from hospital. No pain meds though since so Yeah! The incisions feel painless ( no stitches, just dermabond) so I think that helps with the lack of pain. The only thing keeping me feeling 100% again is hunger pains and I think a pulling where my port is inside. I feel like a little twitch in my left side (that is where the port is right under my breast). I think I twisted last night while sleeping and pulled it more than it was used to. I'm not worried--if it gets worse, then my hypochondria will kick in, LOL!! -

Hi everybody. Been reading the boards about 2 months. This is my first post. Right now I'm in day 5 of my all liquid all the time phase before my banding on November 9th. Just did my PCP physical and blood work. First time ever having an EKG and an X-Ray. Man, oh man, do I miss chewing, LOL!!! Mornings and afternoons are fine; it's nighttime that's kicking my tush! I so want something hot and *chewy* to eat Just to answer some questions: female, thirty years old, West Palm Beach, Florida, children's librarian, self-pay, Dr. Rosas from the Wellness Center of the Palm Beaches, probably about 200 pounds to lose. *waves* -

Well things didn't go as planned. LOL!! I couldn't get some of my tests done on time (sleep apnea X2) so my first date came and went. Then came a change of hospital and some additional moneys being exchanged. 2 months come and go and my new surgery date is this Friday, December 21. Just in time for Christmas. So far I've lost 15 pounds on my liquid diet. So far, so good.
